More like whoever wrote the article is stupid. The only part of that that came from the study is backed up with data. Assuming the data was not just made up, people with a lower IQ are more like to resist a change to their browser.

I'm a genius and I don't like change. I still use XP and IE and i've never had a virus inhibit my internet pleasures. Correllation =/ causation.
