I saw it again and it's an excellent film. I thought it was getting way too crazy towards the end but that's what makes Quintin different. I love the crazy detail of his movies. I just noticed the scene when Mr. Waltz's character tells the slaves, after having rescued Django, that they had 'two' options like a German. Which was the basis of the pub shootout in Inglorious Bastards. If you know what I'm referring to, a tip of the hat to you.

Saw it and loved it. I agree about the attention to detail, too. It's the little touches that make these movies even more badass. For me, it was the teeth. No one had perfect teeth which is something that has always bugged me in western/southern type movies.

so did he do it with his thumb and index? i remember in basterds it was 3, so im not sure if the german 2 starts on the thumb or index.

Germans count : Thumb-> finger beside thumb -> middle finger- > 4 fingers not thumb-> all fingers.

I gotta be honest, I thought this was a fucking stupid movie when I saw the trailer for it but after watching the movie, I thought it was very good. Lots of scenes were filmed down here in Louisiana. Samuel L. Jackson's character stole the movie for me, hilarious, all I could think of was Uncle Ruckus.

Just watched this movie myself, felt a little slow to start, but once Christoph/Foxx started working together, i simply loved it.

That first outfit that Django picked out for himself, i couldn't help but laugh. Samuel's character was also veeeeeeeery funny to the point of it being stupid.

With it being a tarantino film, you could see hints of Pulp & Kill Bill coming through in certain places.

Loved the film though, Despite the length.
