The blood effects look way better than they did in the previous seasons. they look a little bit more 'realistic,' in the previous seasons it was just blood all over the place no matter how ridiculous.

This looks fucking badass! Cannot wait! I'm surprised the snitch gladiator is still around though. Looks like there will be way more battle scenes than previous episodes (not that there weren't plenty). Also, did anyone else see the guy who peeled off people's faces in season 1 in that trailer? I thought he died. (from the pits, i think that's what they were called)

I don't think new guy has the same oomph as Andy had, but the rest of the cast is still amazing and even if he is horrible I will love every second of this show.

Better than nothing still. Gods of the Arena was still great even without Andy. I do wish I knew a necromancer irl though

Yeah, they went ahead and did the first episode as a preview. First few minutes had me worried, but it got better. New spartacus is ass, but the episode was good overall.
