really great episode and contained the most non-slowmo action since the series began. Never really a dull moment on the show, but I'm assuming after that clusterfuck of events things will slow down a bit once more.

yeah I expect next episode to be talk and recuperation. 3 of the big 4 are hurt and 2 of them have drama to talk through. But I am happy to see them all together finally so I will certainly enjoy it.
As a side note, it is hilarious the ridiculous injuries taken on a regular basis on this show and all the precaution people take to avoid any injury at all these days. And fuck, a tiny cut killed one GoT character, would not phase Crixsis though.
You really start to feel bad for Glaber at first. But that moment in the arena kind of sparked that "Oh right, fuck that guy" moment.
cannot wait for Crassus to come...
Also, I think it would be awesome to see a cameo by Pompey
hope none of you are still new spartacus haters, last ep was jump off crixus shield to season 1 finale awesome
also can be called fight all of glabers men with a wooden sword awesome
I still cant get used to the new actor but the episode was awesome still
No Beard Asher. I like it.
I really wasn't expecting the ending. I understand and look forward to the significance of it, but at the same time, I'm a bit disappointed that Seppius was thrown away that quickly.
It seems like it may have been a symptom of the season's shortening (13 -> 10 episodes). I read in an interview that they had previously planned to explore Glaber's (apparent) bisexuality this season, and I can't help but think that Seppius might have been his penned lover, thus his early elimination.
I can see that being the case. I was surprised by that as well. Liking Black Glaber though, the darker Glaber is a nice direction. Not that he was a saint, but he is clearly done getting fucked with. Gannicus and Spartacus... saw that being a cheap way to end that fight, but then I get that they probably couldn't have ended it otherwise. Looking forward to seeing Gannicus in the next episode... seems to be more centered on him in the next one, or at least that was what the preview made it seem like.
The next episode will be very interesting. Since I believe Gannicus was a
Spoiler: show
I doubt that he'll end up crucified or dead in an assassination attempt on Glaber, so I'm interested to see how he gets out of it. Also, Lucretia and Illythia are going to be a frightening duo--until Lucretia inevitably betrays her, that is.
I love Lucy Lawless' evil face. It's gotta be the best evil face I have seen in a very long time. Gonna practice in the mirror until I got it down
I caught myself pulling for Asher in that fight. Was all like, " fuck yeah show em how its done." I like that he said he was the lowest tier too.
Asher is my new favourite character.
The only thing I didn't like is that the scene seemed like such a rip off of Batiatus with Glabber. I mean, I like that tactic and I'm sure it was actually used back in the day, but yeah. I do like that Asher has talked himself into a role such as this. He is either going to get an epic death from the gladiators or he will somehow talk himself to Spartacus' side...and eventually betray the rebel army in all likelihood.
I was too which felt weird, and yeah, him admitting he was lowest was surprising and neat.
It's crazy, I'm continuously surprised by how good the show has gotten. I've watched the original and prequel seasons and I enjoyed the show then, but everything seems to have gotten better this season.
Agreed. Even the Spartacus actor is growing on me. No one will ever be as badass as Andy Whitfield sadly, but this new guy is getting better.
HOLY SHIT AT THE ENDING.
WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR FACE?
Oh... oh shit your brain is slipping.
he totally lost his face in front of others
