Saw it in IMAX 3D and loved the scene

where the Ancient One pretty much sends him on an acid trip. Thought it was going to fuck with my head because of my vertigo, but it didn't. It was visually exceptional.

It wasn't full of laughs, but I enjoyed the few cracks made. Cape won hands down for funniest moment.

I didn't know much of anything about Dr Strange going in, but I do feel that Benedict fit the look of him very,very well. I will have to look into getting some of the comics.

I saw an article saying Derrickson had debunked both Rhodey and this as the reference, typed it out and got a thing saying for legal reasons unable to link certain sites. But I'd linked a couple and not sure it was that one. Then I couldn't find it again. (would be nice if that legal prompt on here brought me back to my post so I could just remove that one link but oh well)

Then I found http://www.denofgeek.com/us/movies/d...ster-egg-guide saying "there's an award visible in Stephen's apartment that clearly says 2016 on it".

Then that article goes on to say the schizo girl hit by lightning may be a new take on Electro...while another site in my last post had said it might be Carol Danvers.

Saw it last night. I wanted to see it day one but Friday was a family members birthday. Anywho..

I really liked it. The visuals were amazing. Best of any Marvel movie so far IMO. I spent half the time with my brain off just watching in awe. Especially the scene were the Anicent One shows him all the alternate realities. The fight scenes were really well done too. None of that close up stuff were you can't tell who's hitting who, or fighting in the dark all the time.

So something I've been wondering is why they've been changing the stones around... like Strange is supposed to get soul not time... which kind of fits more his powers to begin with. Think they've done this with most the others too. Which I guess whatever different plots.

But what I'm really curious about is why they are changing the colors. Like green is supposed to be soul and time was supposed to be orange... like are they trying to get those that red the comics to jump the gun and assume or what?

Yeah, this has kinda bugged me too but like others have said even the comics can't get it right. I would have also liked to see Strange get the Soul Gem. Like say Kaecilius steals it and is collecting souls in order to open a portal to the Dark Dimension or whatever. I thought the Time Gem was hidden in the cover of the book in the libary because it was glowing orange. I really didn't like how they made the Eye of Agamotto the Time Gem. The Eye of Agamotto is just the Eye of Agamotto not a Infinity Stone.

That bothered me too. I'm a huge fan of Infinity Gauntlet and Dr. Strange taking on the gems was one of the best parts of the series.

Just came back from seeing it. Solid movie with good pacing. While I don't think it's Marvel's best movie, it's definitely a good introduction for Dr. Strange. Seeing it in Imax 3D wasn't bad either. Definitely needs moar Wong.

It's so good. My wife wasn't a Marvel fan but you know she's a
keeper when she says "that's an Infinity stone" before the movie does.

To me this is up there with Guardians and Winter Solider as my favorites.

Cumberbatch seems setup to be the heir to Robert Downey Jr for the MCU and I'm totally okay with this.
