Comically, I've not managed to find a single launcher throughout all of my playtime so far. I did however find an E-tech shotgun with a massive scope and pinpoint accuracy that lobs bouncing fireballs that catch everything on fire and then explode like grenades.

Axton specializes in Assault Rifles for one skill and has assault/shock element mods but for the most part he is extremely flexible with all weapons. Early on Assault Rifle SUCK ASS however. I've been using Fire/Corrosive pistols and a shotgun when thing get too close mainly and a shock bouncy/sticky grenade thingy that's amazing.

Switching weapons is so damn effective.

Have a fire and corrosive atm. Eridian fire pistol (not the quest one) and eridian corrosive smg that fucking rocks. 25 shots, hyperion, and super high damage/fire rate. Constructors are so easy, just die in front of their eyes and fuck shit up. Even badass and the badass+ guys are np with that thing

And I guess explosive too, have an explosive AR that's fucking sweet. Explosive weapons are so ballin' my ~170 dmg + explosive damage AR beats my 300 damage jackobs AR lol

At 50 I'll probably want some decent shock/fire/and corrosive weapon on hand and probably just switch through those fuckers depending on what I'm facing - and I guess slag would be pretty beneficial vs high hp targets then lol. Probably get that weapon swap speed thing axton has, too.

Easy exp tip if people are struggling:

There's a quest after you do the bits with Mordecai where you find Mordecai's secret gun stash. The reward is a mod that gives +5.4% exp bonus. Warp over to the dust and find a ledge to sit on. Snipe away at the bandit cars that roll by. They give crazy exp if you kill them outside a vehicle.

So far a level 20 Axton. Rocking some sticky slag transfusion grenades, a Tediore rocket launcher with like, 3k damage/shot, a Torgue assault rifle, and a purple shotgun that shoots lightning. Just using a slag sniper as the fourth spot. Having a blast now that I put the longbow skill on my turret.

For all of you scumbags that pirated the game and are lurking around, you can play it online with a Virtual LAN easily and connect to retail players that also use the same program. Lots of people are using Tunngle at the moment. It's like Xlink Kai and Hamachi but with a better browser and lobby and utilizes a Virtual LAN. You can set up either a private lobby or join a channel and have anyone publicly join it.

http://www.tunngle.net/ takes like 2 minutes to set up and play online co-op.

I've been using it a lot to play LAN games of Diablo 2 with mods (Median XL) and SNES/NES emulators and I've never had a problem with it yet.

Once you get into the third tier of the Guerilla tree with Axton....there is literally nothing that can stand up to you

yeah randomly bought a 6208 damage launcher from the store in sanctuary, generally dont like launchers but that much damage at level 25 is too good to pass up

Rockets definitely feel like the "Oh shi-" button, right next to your unique skill.

I reeeeally want to try the 3/27/15 build for Maya but I don't feel like it will be effective until lv40ish. Pretty much would be melee onry and using bullets to apply slag on enemies and to heal your team mates. Has anyone seen a shotgun with melee bonus damage by chance?
