level 14 lilith, had a level 13 zer0 join me for the rescue roland mission and that guy..... he was on a whole other level, I felt like I was getting power leveled. He had some corrode stuff going on, I got a purple grenade from my gold key and I have been a bit unfortunate with my luck in weapons, so no corrode guns

anyone have tips for farming decent guns or money? God-liaths in Frostburn?

I don't know if I should consider myself extremely lucky or very unlucky. I got an orange gun at level 8. Infinite ammo and the fastest fire rate I've seen in the game. Kinda OP'd myself through the entire game with just that gun. On the flip side, I haven't seen another orange weapon drop though. :/ Honestly I don't remember what chest or mob I killed to get it. I know I didn't use the key, saving those for level 50.

The drop rate on orange weapons does seem so much lower in BL2. I mean, it wasn't spectacular in BL1, but I think I've gotten 3 orange items so far in 43 levels and all but 1 have been complete shit. I have 3 keys, so I'm thinking about using them at level 46, that way the weapons are close to the level cap, but I still have some levels to play around with them

Ive seen one orange item, a grenade mod I got at level 2, thats been it, very low on purple drops too. Might attribute to me playing solo however.

4 person co-op is meant to make more loot drop but not sure if it increases the rarity (not sure if that treasure hunter artifact can multiple)

Buddy got an orange sniper at lv6 from the slots on our Maya/Axton run. Elemental "Invader" rifle, 20 rounds, but shot 5 burst-fire when zoomed. Was meh but at least ripped up badass enemies np, would phaselock long enough to unload on their face.
Got some oranges off the final boss too, otherwise I haven't seen any myself. Got an infinity handgun like Null was talking about on my Salv. Worked great with Gunzerk as I could keep firing while reloading the other weapon.

Just picked up an orange Whiskey Tango Foxtrot shield, the thing is one of the most absurd items I've seen in the game yet. Randomly when you get shot it spits out shield boosters that all deploy 3 shock grenades apparently in random directions. Except that they can hurt you too, and they're powerful enough to drop my 1800 shield in one hit lol.

At least it's living up to its name then lol. I've yet to find anything really good yet. Found a decent amount of purples, but nothing that's really stood out.

Its not a bad mechanic at all or anything. The main issue is they don't tell you this crap early on like when you start the 2nd playthrough.

Then again they COULD have just opted to make all quest repeatable on playthrough 2.5 or added another lv50+ playthrough....

o wat. Playthrough 2.5 doesn't reset quests? So I'm encouraged to not do/accept any side quests in TVHM mode until I'm 50?

I actually got a couple decent purples from the slots at moxxi's, had two of them with the three Marcus faces all lined up. Haven't seen any lines with 3 Borderlands symbols, eager to see what they spits out (probably an orange) but like other people have said, slots are great.

Also if you tip Moxxi enough 1k tips in a sitting, she'll hand you a random purple weapon. I haven't tried it in different games, but at level 18 she gave me a purple corrosive maliwan SMG, 61 damage and outstanding fire rate. Chews right the hell through loaders.

Ya i got it... makes this game so easy that i have to unequip it sometimes to have some fun lol. I use it mostly to farm gear from bosses >.>... and solo Terra >.>

beaten the demon hunter quest jesus took me 7 deaths to beat her last try she didn't do the homing lazer beam which helped a ton
