Also incase you also wanted to know what it is, it allows you to enter the armory without using the elalator, which gives you infinite time to collect all the goodies, because you normally get just over 2mins iirc, and there are alot of chests.

Honestly, if you want to farm infinite chests, complete Claptrap until you get access to the basement full of chests; it also has a convenient place to sell, and since it's not a glitch, no chance of accidentally getting the quest stuck as I have a couple of times with Knoxx.

It's hard to be sure, but supposedly the 18 Claptrap final chests have a lower chance fore rare/good weapons than the average chest.
(Granted, the Knoxx chests have their own idiosyncrasies, but I believe it's just level locks rather than content weighting, and lance chests help.)
