I read that but tried the key anyways, still worked for me. I think he just meant that the reason for the test is its eu prime time, and not necessarily that its limited to that region.

This is true, it does not but it just seems like the testing thing is a cover up. Especially because he states it repeatedly over and over. Maybe he just annoys me.

To me it seems they just keep putting out the codes to keep the interest level high and to keep people hooked. Really there isn't much to do if anything after your first play through than to farm bosses and they probably realize that a lot of people have already finished it. Just feels like the codes are being used for alterior motives than just testing that's all. I like gold keys too.

Maybe I am just mildly disappointed in the game. Who knows.

Also, why would there be a need for an EU test? East/West coast US surely sold many more copies. That info they have from US tests should surely cover them.

OK. I will simplify it for you kids.

I think the idea is not to "test servers" but the idea is to keep Borderlands 2 on the tip of kids tongue. To keep the PR train going if you will. They want kids in school etc to talk of gold keys and such so that more people will go out and buy the game. Server testing feels like a hoax is all. Not that it matters i just found it annoying/intriguing

So you didn't have a reasoning or even any logic behind your statement, got it.

The guns in the chest are worse than most of the purples you will get off of killing the boss or terramorphous, let alone the oranges. They're better for leveling your characters and if you only planned on playing one character and capped it out, crap purples are hardly going to keep you coming back. It's not an MMO, it has qualities of an MMO, but they gain absolutely nothing out of giving out keys to people who have long since surpassed the use of them on their main characters.

The codes work worldwide, it's just that most of the codes have been going out during times where EU players are asleep or at work/school. They're giving out codes at different times to appeal to different time zones.

I believe he's stated that they've been doing these tests because they want to do much larger and longer giveaways. I'm pretty sure he's also mentioned things like skins and weapons as potential redemptions in the future.

Started an assassin today and have power leveled it to 33 so far just farming The Sham. No drop so far. Have gotten 2 bitch's back to back, though, lol.

Not only that but over the weekend when he was giving out codes many people reported that the game said the code didn't work but they still got keys; hence test.

I've been raiding Terra half the day with buddies and the drops have been pretty awful, we got better loot off the warrior. Also, burned through 10 keys just now, since I hit 50 earlier, got a few upgrades that way.

I am one of the people who experienced difficulties on two of the key tests ... so the tests are warranted. In addition, he's said one or two times now that the tests are for larger non-timed code releases that will be on the Official Gearbox Twitter/Facebook as opposed to on his personal Twitter.
