ASM 2 viral site teases Venom and Carnage
http://www.superherohype.com/news/29...rnage#/slide/1
As they've been doing for some time, the latest entry for The Amazing Spider-Man 2's viral Daily Bugle site has debuted a new entry (via Yahoo!) that teases Spidey villains Venom and Carnage, one of whom will be getting his own spin-off film in the near future. Their latest piece reads as follows:
KILLER KASADY CAUGHT
By Eddie Brock
The greater New York tri-state area got a whole lot safer yesterday. Captured late last night, Cletus Kasady, escaped serial killer and notorious redhead, was eerily calm and subdued when he eagerly surrendered to the FBI. The manhunt for the FBI’s Most Wanted felon ended innocuously in a small strip mall outside of New Rochelle, New York.
A barista at a local coffee shop recognized Kasady and eventually called the police. The barista apologized to reporters later admitting she didn’t immediately alert authorities hoping Spider-Man would beat them to the scene. “What can I say? I am a HUGE fan.”
Kasady had been sentenced to twelve life sentences for the twelve murders he committed — but escaped while being transported between federal prisons. Sources say Kasady has been remanded to Ravencroft Institute for further interrogation until he is relocated to a maximum security federal prison. While the barista didn’t get her wish, we know Spider-Man thanks her… as we all do. For now it appears that Kasady won’t be causing any more carnage.
It's unknown if all of the events teased in these viral updates will eventually come to pass in the canon of "The Amazing Spider-Man" film series, but for the time being it's a fun wink to the fans.
From early reviews, it sounds like it suffers from Spidy 3 "too many villain's" syndrome. Never saw that one coming!
I've been stating that as my main concern since the villains were announced.
Really the entire Sinister Six was too many villains? Who woulda thunk

oh my
Man, the scene we all know is coming...
I can't handle this wait.
I think I'm the only person I know who thinks this movie looks terrible. So much CGI bullshit, electro is blue and not a bumbling idiot, rhino is a giant metal douche, green goblin looks like something from a Troll movie. I thought the first one was okay, I liked spiderman being more of the smart ass like in the comics, but though peter parker was a bit too cool and far from the comic nerdness. Alas, I'll watch it eventually but probably not worth theaters for me.
So excited for this, I've watched one of the trailers but I'm keeping myself from watching anymore as I feel like I'm at risk of watching the entire movie through all these trailers and TV spots. UK release date is Friday 18th, not sure if I should book tickets or just turn up
Every one said the same thing about the first movie. You guys didn't learn your lesson apparently.
I didn't think the first one would be terrible, nor do I think this next one will be... but there's a lot about the reboot that has tempered my expectations (and the first one didn't fully change me into a believer).
I feel the same as kind sir RK. The first one was fun to watch, still not sure that it was good haha. I guess im just getting tired of the cheesy looking CGI. That is the biggest part turning me off of the movie from the trailers I've seen. Obviously they are trailers, and a lot changes in production from the first trailers to the actual screen but it just looks really fake like late 90's early 2000s CGI. Almost Matrix massive agents vs neo fight cheesy. Ya it was great in 2000, but we've come a long way since then. I'll see it and as always, I hope it's awesome. Well actually I hope it tanks does the worst ever, they cancel all the rest and give the rights back to Marvel and Marvel Studios gets control. A BOY CAN DREAM!
hmmm so this has hit the web already huh?
Yeah just watched it, very interesting
