The nerd rage was strong realizing Spidey's webbing was working that way. Had been hoping for that classic webbing boxing mitt beatdown

Its a strong webbing taken from oscorp spiders that's as strong as legit steel cable. But yeah, once they revealed that the spiders were supposed to be destroyed, I too started questioning where he's been getting his constant supply of web from. Not to mention in two movies he has yet to have that moment midfight where he could have done amazing damage/won but runs out of webbing at the last second. Loved the cartoon for that "you never know when" feeling every time Spidey went all out.

They could have expanded upon his web armlets being useless in the first fight with Electro, by having both "short out". Instead they had to make him look awesome with the escalator scene. Would have sold Electro pretty well as a villain, by making Spidey unable to save those people from being fried.

I guess I need to watch it again(when it comes out on DVD). Because it sure did not look like she landed on the ground. Yes the whiplash was obviously there, but everything else you're all saying, I just didn't see.

This movie had waaaaaaaaay better acting chops than the Raimi films but Gwen's death was wasted and the pacing was awful. Dane Dehaan was one creepy motherfucker when he popped on screen as Harry Osborne (jeez, I could smell the insanity from 10 paces away) but Electro's motivations were weak (like Lizard before him) and Rhino... whatever Paul Giamatti phoned in shouldn't even be called acting. It's like this movie nails the relationships and forgets somewhere that it's a superhero movie.

I'd say this movie had alot of things right but failed to gel together properly. I have no idea why they didn't wait till TASM3 to kill Gwen and use this movie to properly showcase Electro/Green Goblin. Gwen's death could have been the impetus to kick ass against the sinister 6 ending that movie on a bittersweet note. If anything, this movie shows just what XMen and other movies that want to engage in character bloat are up against.

Watching this with my GF. She leans over and asks me "What killed her?". I just smacked my hand into the Arm rest without saying a word and she goes "Ah....aww." and I chuckled. Didn't mind the movie over all. It's still leagues better than the Raimi movies.
