Can a level 1 player get every color? I haven't played FF 14 much but would like to collect everything.

Mostly, and depending. You can collect all the items needed, only problem you'll run in to is that there are mobs that pop and attack the bombard. You'll have no way of killing them unless someone else is with you or happens to be there also.

i have the 3 easier suits and 3 extra ashes of each - i feel like a shithead asking this but what's the best route to get to the coerthas locations? my highest class is only 21 (haven't played much) and i basically get one-shotted whenever i start exploring

Btw. if you don't want to bother and have some money on the character just look on bazaars around the event npc in cities - ashes are sellable.

I got all 5 on my level 1 character, you just have to leech it. Go to each location and wait for others to bring the bombard and then talk to the NPC.

West of Camp Emerald Moss in the Black Shroud. In Coerthas it's just north -> east.
Aggro easily avoidable.

thank you very much! i kept trying to head north (probably not even to the right zone) from Ul'dah and getting quickly killed by r59s

also thanks to those that reminded me i could just buy the ash, i didn't find any, but that's always an option. will try to make it there tonight if for nothing else to pick up some new crystal locations.
