AH forums used to not be so bad. You could get some decent advice there as well as discuss other topics but the forums pretty much went to shit after the google ad rule changes and making Krizz a mod. He pretty much ruined this forums and whenever anyone gets into a "heated" debate over gear sets, etc, he deletes the posts and topic bans.

You sure got me. I'm such a shut in, that's why I go to other forums I don't post on to defend people I don't like so I can express to others how awesome I am and how miserable they are. Excellent ad hominem, you are clearly the superior example here.

Yeah, going to have to second (or third, or fourth, or whatever we're up to now) the "Krizz is a mouthbreathing retard, so get off his dick" sentiment.

Here is why FFXIAH forums are how they are:
* The site exists to make money for the admins, which it does through ad-based revenue.
* The forums generate a very small amount of traffic (which determines the revenue) compare to the AH/search part of the site.
* Google ads (or whatever) told the admins that they need to tone down the forums to keep their advertisement.
* The forums don't generate enough income/revenue to justify paying someone to moderate them, so the options were basically:
A) Shut down the forums completely.
B) Get a bunch of free moderators to try and keep them alive, but moderate the shit out of them. Overmoderation > Undermoderation if you're talking about potentially becoming unprofitable.

And then they found Krizz (who is super active) to do the work for free. Problem solved. If the alternative to mods like Krizz is not having a forum, I think it's easy in their minds to justify his retardation.
