Had JP's not invite me to NM trials a few times, I just took my 2 mules out and camped the zone, left them there when I finished 3 mobs later and continued to claim/kill while on the next trial.

Do Pixies in Grauberg, they aggro, link, and are perfect for cleaving. Avoid LaTheine altogether.

Granted I did "mooch" a kill on the previous on the previous NM...but I was doing the trial with someone I knew, so we helped each other when we were out and what not.

I dont mind letting others leech too...as long as they atleast made an attempt. If someone rolls into a camp, then just afks, fuck em. If they come in, and NM doesnt pop after 5 hours, clearly they tried, atleast let them get credit for that pop.

Never had an issue with NMs for empyreans... leeched a bunch, let a bunch leech...

Teamed up with a JP once - initially he declined saying he was going to sleep. I told him I'd camp, and he could stay in the party while I killed...

Got a couple of NMs down for him, then I was to tired to finish... went to sleep, woke up the next day and found out the JP finished off the trial for me.

VNMs on the other hand... I've been flat out refused on. It wasn't even like I was solo... I had a party dedicated to it... we just didn't want the competition, and figured it would make sense to team up... but oh well...

Well I failed a good 50 times tonight when I absolutely lost it and raged, letting loose a barrage of /s /sh and /t at a good half dozen people.

I went out to La Thiene to do my alts cure staff trial, and at the maw there's a few people there. I look around and see that there's a couple with the same trial, so I ask to team up. No reply. Ok it's not lightsday yet, maybe they're just afk. Lightsday rolls around, and I try again. Still no reply, so I just get my buffs and head our to the farfadets. Not only are the people from outside there, there are more groups inside already. So we do a shout for the trial to team up, no reply.

There were literally a good 4-5 duos all doing the same exact fucking cure staff trials, and nobody would team up to do any of the kills. What the FUCK does ANYONE have to gain by turning the farfadet camp into fucking dragons aery v2 for an hour, running around claiming the shit the split second they pop when anyone can kill one and EVERYONE gets the gd fucking credit?

I ended up with 165/175 kills because of this shit, and I'm pretty sure none of the other groups managed to finish any of theirs either at the end of it. Oh well, there's always tomorrow right? ¯し(ツ)_/¯ wwww

Yeah, all my linkshell WHMs kinda figured out Vereth MNK with RR/SS/AA kills these things in 3 seconds flat... so I've been volunteered for this douchebaggery quite a few times... always people killing... never anyone teaming up. Usually wind up like 5-10 mobs short, because of downtime pulling, or I have a bad day with auto-target.

Some people don't want to team up so they don't have to share chest drops/KI. Not justifying what they did, just rationalizing it. I can't speak for La Thiene but I know that's the reason I won't team up with people at times when I'm in Altepa/Uleg and trying to get misc. things done while trying to get TKH or Sis Frags.

Weird, I've been building Masamune and had no problems with JPs. Even let a few leech kills when the NM respawned right on or near the hour mark and they weren't back from being afk yet. Guess I've just been lucky. I don't see any reason not to team up for NM kills, especially VNMs where the more abyssites you have the better.

I didn't have much trouble with JPs on trials - for cure staff one I did the yag elementals and invariably ended up with an alliance of JP tarus all doing theirs happily teaming up, same with NMs - sometimes people were AFK and I killed for them, sometimes they killed for me since people took the attitude we'd be running into each other all the steps of the way.
