Random Fail XII: dont takl me small fish^^

Same here, I have worked on a bunch of the ele weapon trials (2 eva dagger, 2 eva katana, cure staff, and a few I didn't finish) And for all of them I've teamed up with JP and americans a bunch of times. I seemed to have better luck when I followed w/e it says to go to on the ffxiwiki, because everyone seems to follow it, so usually when I show up to a place there's already a group of random people teamed up so they just add me.

I ended up getting ignored by JPs when I'm doing trials like these. So I started claiming mobs faster than them/getting to placeholders first. They would acknowledge my presence all of a sudden. Got to love Ragnarok.

I've never had problems with NMs, but for the elemental stuff, jps are dickbags and retarded.

And every fucking time I had to deal with that bullshit, day/weather would end and I would be left with like 10~15 more to go. Every. Fucking. Time.

Although I didn't mind not teaming up with BSTs, that shit was dumb. Unless they were nice and just teamed up so other people would finish quicker and gtfo. (And every so often snipe a few kills, if they're being nice and doing this, I usually grab a few 5% mobs every so often and run to them, just as a way of saying thanks I guess. :/)

So weird lol. I guess it helps I know a few JP words that most on ragnarok don't bother using. I think they like it when you make the effort.

I mostly just use Auto-Translator and be courteous when asking and what use what little JP words I do know if I feel necessary (never usually do) I've never been refused. The only times I have been refused is when they are leaving and obviously don't want to join to warp lol. I've never experienced even a third of the unpleasantries that the few Ragnarok people who post here complain about; I've always found it to be a good server (there were a few crappy LS that cropped up post server merge, but other than that).

Never had anyone refuse to team up with me. Might have something to do with the rep of the person though as JPs take stuff like that pretty seriously.

After hunting souls, I allianced with JPs to kill Helldiver and camped him from 3am to roughly 5am. I then told them I had to use the bathroom quickly. When I return, I find that they broke the alliance and killed the NM when it popped. Another instance was when I was solo and killing PHs for Halidom. I step out the room for a second and return to see that a JP ran in and killed the NM. When I questioned him about it, he made up bullshit about how he had to go help his friend and then proceeded to go to Ru lude. Meanwhile, I found that Halidom had changed spots and it had been over 10min since the last pop with no Goobue up. Comparatively, I have yet to see NA pull the same stunt.

I actually had one player really shocked cause I ran by, saw the NM up that was needed for trial, sent him a tell to get his attention and let him kill the NM.

My first time down the dagger path wasn't any problem. Everyone teamed up and played nice. My second time down the dagger path, a JP guy waited until I popped BTS by killing the only two PHs, then disbanded and killed it. I AFK for 5 minutes to use the rest room against La Veule, same shit. I was so paranoid by the time I made it to the Bugbear that I was keeping PH ToD in party chat and making sure I was back for windows like it was a freaking competitive claim situation.

Yeah, put in the effort when they don't even bother to use auto-translate.

Most of the non-JP population would use auto-translate for Thanks/Congratulations which will be understood by any JP. I do realise that it is usually out of sheer laziness, but it is still more effort than the average JP. Most of the time they'd respond to any attempt to communicate with pure Japanese and nothing else. If they even reply, that is.

On BG? Probably 0. For the majority of players? Probably a lot. Whenever my group teams up with anyone 90% of the time we're the only ones with discernment.
