I'd like to point out too there are times when discernment is retarded. I've done fights where we get an NM to like -50% and the whole group of 5+ people don't see a message yet. I spam Ni on dnc a lot just to get it asap even if everyone else has discernment as well.

Forgot to take pics, but extreme fail for me last night attempting to solo SW Apollyon on blu/nin. When I got there, after entering, I found out my 2 hr was still down from trying to see how fast we could down kirin, so i was like "w/e, I can handle the tree NM", so I get the the tree floor, with almost half my mp, and i'm hurrying to finish since I wanted to go to bed soon, so i'm like "w/e I can handle it with half my mp!" I fight the NM, don't drag it away from where it was at, got it to 11%, no mp, and his 50 a tick poison killed me and I had to home point.

I find the shouts in Jeuno for someone with discernment for a full group of 5 hilarious. Like how the hell can you not have it if you've been playing through abyssea with the sheer number of shouts there were for bosses and caturae in the past - yeah, if you've restarted recently it's probably harder - but hell I got my mule through on shout pickups within about a week (two lots of zone boss shout pickups is not good for the sanity levels btw)... hell if you hang around boss spawn areas and ask to just join for the clear people generally oblige if you're not an annoying pain in the arse.

In all seriousness, I think the only people I know without Discernment are ones who have recently come back to the game and haven't had the time to get all zone clears/caturae. I think I just need to kill Raja and Kukulkan for a friend and he'll be all set, but I can kinda understand if someone doesn't have it.

I really dont understand...if youre going to upgrade shit, it would be faster to get discernment abyssite and then work on the goals instead of guessing and hoping for procs.

Odds are someone else in the group would have it, so one person not having it isnt a huge deal. Still gimp of course.

Stroll up to Pantagruel for a few kis and see at least 2 groups there and it looks like they're setting an order. I ask how many they have left. Getting no response I proceed to pop my 3 which was apparently something that only an uneducated group of pigs would do.

Noticing this trend with JPs, they only want to share/be nice/do an order when it's convenient for them. Then go batshit when somebody breaks that order whether they responded to the person or not.
