My idle set consists of my TP set + Trotter boots for Thf. The point was idling in evasion over pdt doesn't make sense.You idle in pdt/mdt on the offchance you get hit by AoE and dont have a chance to switch to pdt/mdt set. Don't see any point in idling in evasion gear.

Idle set is an idle set, when youre not engaged, running around. Why would I play to my jobs disadvantages (defense) instead of its advantages (high evasion). On the off chance that I wind up taking damage in my idle set, its probably NOT from magic, and its probably NOT from aoe attacks, and will save on damage taken by gearing evasion.

Yeah earlier I seemed to be the only SMN in there not using Garuda and Predator Claws. Add that to the fact that you avatars are probably blinded 90% of the time from Black Cloud you're best off just using a magical BP. It's just terrible summoners being terrible.

Fenrir's Dispel is in fact AoE.

However, Its a very small AoE. And if an Avatar gets hate on a mob via AoE the SMN receives no hate, Its a popular method for depopping adds. So hes in no danger there. Either way, /SCH or Fenrir are great for dispels.

But really... Using Garuda on Blunt weak mobs, just epic facepalm. Let alone watching a SMN go all Predator Claws on a mob Physical Resistant. Garuda's a great Avatar, But good lord, Learn the job and situations where you'd not use her.

If you're going in to walk of echoes with more than 1 character for greater chance at drops, often times you're left to do a lot of different things on different characters, including doing as much damage as you can with the little amount of attention you're paying to each character, which means if he was to switch to fenrir he'd essentially be shooting himself in the foot. I know that personally I am just trying to spam heavy strike etc to maximize damage on blu so I can start getting points on my dualboxed rdm instead of taking initiative and doing something like dispelling.

I'm not saying that the majority of smns aren't dumbfuck retarded and spam the shit out of grooda and pick any good conflux clean in 5 minutes leaving shit all for anyone else, just that you should probably take into account the few that are preoccupied with other things. Honestly though, I don't think he shouted expecting results, more than it is just asking for the people who are just sitting with their thumbs up their ass who have no knowledge of WoE, much less any game mechanics, to do something other than mine for gold back there.

Why would you ask for dispel if you had 2 mules in the zone with you that had dispel?

I do the exact same, my idle/stand set is basically my evasion set.Find it very usefull in situation like salvage when I do "suicid" pulls, I don't need any 2hr or fanatic drinks, for kiting situation basically.(Those things cannot even hit me when it's actually the time to die -_-)

As a THF EVASION > PDT in idle.Rather evading things then getting hit like a truck even with 50% PDT <.<

Because releasing Garuda, Summoning Fenrir, using assault, using Lunar Roar then using Eclipse Bite or Lunar Bay (WoE is constant dbl dark fyi) is REALLY so fucking hard to do, even if you're 2boxing.

x_x Yup, looks like Flux #11 alright... hence why I always go BLU. Sudden Lunge stuns tend to keep them occupied enough for the SMN wall and a few BLMs to take them down. Also toss in Heavy Strike which usually hits for ~1k to chip off a good chunk of HP when it lands, and delta thrust besides. But yeah, a stunner is the key to skeles with a Garuda army. D:
