Okay, so my friend and I are doing Dynamis like we do most nights, decided we wanted to hit Bastok because I wanted an Obi for my SMN. We decide that the two of us aren't going to cut it so we make a pickup group. We get another BST, a THF, and a RDM. All of them look decently geared, so we were feeling good. Farming was interesting, TEs were a mess. NM wiped us, badly, because the RDM wouldn't sleep the avatar or if they did, someone would wake it up. No buffs, so Judgment Bolt hurt at 2k. Looooooong night of similar disasters.

But partway through, when we decided to just do some currency farming (which I'd like to add, no one but me and my partner were trying to proc!), our RDM decided to talk to us about theory and how getting more TEs narrows which WS work for procs.

This same person also threw out theories that if you invite people who just entered after you get TEs and they get TEs, you get more additional time. Forgot to SS it. Also yes, Sav's a dick in the SS but he's had a rough night and both of us were ready to tear into this group, as we discussed in LS. We were just fed up with this pickup group. Never. Again.

If you're going to take on that NM, bring Scherzo/Earthen Armor and an evasion tank. Try and summoner pull it to the nearby platform, but be aware that the summoner is probably going to end up taking one for the team and dying.

Screenshots like that remind me why I don't do anything in pickups anymore. I had someone(with Apoc) ask me how to gear DRK with Apoc a few weeks ago(I'm sure Valefor people know who I'm talking about >.>).

@Byrth Well, news to me. We didn't really plan well for it, were hoping that pet tanks could hold it well enough as long as we kept the avatar slept. Which was actually working pretty well! Then someone woke the avatar with a Spiral Spin because he had his pet turned badly, and since AF just happened to be up at that moment, boom. Judgment bolt to the face. Didn't help that the same guy had the slug on it before it died and had bio'd the avatar, making sleeping not work either. Thankfully we stuck break on it in the meantime.
