Random is random, I'm sure if you didn't know before that Blue gives you no guarantees, you do now.

As far as I recall of the 4 we've farmed one was with Blue and all four were with TH 5+ (not that we were able to tell what the increase was when it was initially available).

I have to ask if you're bringing a Thief, and if so upgrading the TH?

Okay, time to bring back an old friend of mine by the name of Rareitems, aka Taliaz. They so kindly asked me in a hate tell to post on BG, so I thought I'd oblige. Sadly, I screenshotted very little of the conversation because I was busy helping my friend get people for his EXP leech party to fund his aegis's last step, so really all I have is something my friend pointed out on FFXIAH's shout monitors. I regret not doing more now.

Anyway, story time! Taliaz, if you guys remember from this post here, still has a little grudge against me. And if you also check the screenshots in this album, you can get an idea of why they hate on my friend Savain too. It's really funny, honestly. Anyway, so this all started yesterday. I got one screenie of it at the very beginning! Though I should have gotten the rest.

After this, they exploded into insulting me and Savain, which was just amusing, especially when they started calling us RMTs for making leech parties to fund Sav's Aegis. After the entirety of PJ turned against them, they went off at any shout they saw, insulting them regardless of the shout. There was a Carabosse shout that they exploded at for being at 4/5 (though I agree that it was silly to put two people on a single +2 drop) and going off about how terrible everyone is. There were several more people they just attacked at random.

So today after class Sav's doing another EXP run, and I figure I might as well get my SCH up and join in. Rare starts up as I begin shouting for Sav while he's building lights, and starts calling us RMT, calling our shell a HongKong one, etc. It was actually really amusing, because for whatever reason they've got a stick up their ass that's longer than my arm. I GM'd them for like the third time in two days (a little fail on my part for the GMing maybe), got the same nice GM I've had the last two times, and go off to do the EXP. Five minutes in, I get a tell.

I was farming Dark rings and wivre pins +1 with people in Konstatch

Guy wanted Loki's so he said he would brew Turul while we build lights.

Near the end of the run, guy brewed Turul 4 times with no drops.

He decides to brew him 1 last time.

Loki drops! yay but what happens? the guy Dcs and after the 5min, loki dropped to the other member (already had mine)

Guy comes back on and starts to swear and all and accuse the other guy to hack him, to force him to DC to get free loki and blah blah

Pickup VW runs shout for 4x run, people warp back after 3rd run anyways for more stones. I don't even know why people shout for 4x and have that stupid downtime after the 3rd run when the entire group can run back for a 2nd 3x run D:

I don't know what's more fail, that he accused the other guy of hacking him or that he spent a million cruor (or 10 million, since I have no idea if he has Cosmos) to get Loki's.

How much time is being wasted fucking around for 12 + fights ?

Since we're into protips, here's one for you, SA your first hit from the TH mule for TH7, time elapsed 2 seconds. If it didn't upgrade oh well, what a waste of time putting TH6! Do nothing else with it if it's really that much time spent on one action. ( People really do SA their first hit using 3 pieces of TH+ gear, shocker )

OP: if you don't have access to TH, or it breaks your ability to kill (your Mage is your only Thief or something similar) then just keep at it, not much else can be done.

As for TH huurrrrrr retard, I'm reminded of that idiot Sam who was indignant about not bringing a Thief for Cirein lanterns, can't remember his name.

It's not a matter of TH vs no TH. It's a matter of all recent testing that I know of showing that the difference between TH3 and TH10 is damn near negligible.

In any case the OP hasn't replied as to whether there was TH present or not, so I await their reply for this particular example.

By all means share the testing you refer to specifically, it must be interesting to read at the very least.

This is what he's talking about. It's obviously hard to get a high TH sample, but one guy tried on later page. He noticed an increase in drop rate, but the sample size is very low. At the very least, we can be fairly confident from the testing that the difference between TH2 and TH6 on normal drops (like Dynamis currency) is pretty freaking small.

Perhaps you can qualify something for me, since you can answer directly:

To be fair, you aren't going to go above TH7 on trash mobs (like in Dynamis), and you'll only get there quasi-regularly if you use Thief's Knife (which slows down your kills and farming). Swapping out TK drops you to TH5/6, which has never been shown to be significantly different from TH2. So yes, people are totally justified saying THF=/THF in a lot of situations.

If you're going to kill Fafnirs for Honey Wines? Sure, DD it down using SA and TA only like the 4x THF + RDM JP party I saw.
If you're going to mass-kill any kind of monster? No, you're wasting your time using anything more than /THF.

TH2 and 5/6 no significant difference shown

What's the distinction you're making in the Fafnir vs mass example, since it's obviously a monster, because I didn't pick up on it from this? (Don't fall back on semantics, it's clear you are making a distinction between the two)

Can you really say that with certainty? If that is the case, I might swap my THF to a WAR when I'm farming Dyna but I felt comfortable knowing each kill had TH6~7 on it. The difference between TH5/6 and TH2(or 3 w/sash) on every single mob you fight seems to add up, especially when sometimes you aren't killing as fast as possible considering you turn to proc in some cases or slow down to proc.
