2 things I can't help but wonder:

Does Britain have a real national guard? (serious question)

If so, why haven't they been deployed?

Also a side note: what's so harmful about bean bag rounds and tear gas that the police won't use them? Do they even have them? I know people can be allergic and a beanbag round can potentially cause internal injury but seriously they're way past the point of having sufficient reason to use them.
