Its probably a combination of a lot of things, but I find it funny that its always TVs and Stereos. Just how many stores are around that aren't huge mega-stores like Best Buy that just stock radios and televisions? I don't live in the city - God forbid I ever do - so I honestly have no idea, but its crazy that no matter where you go in a "relatively" civilized nation, whenever there's a riot that, unfortunately, involves nigras, there's always TVs and stereos being stolen. Is it just bad media coverage? Is it the God honest truth about teh blax?
I have no idea anymore, but yes, its stupid. No amount of "frustration" should have you wanting to act so short-sighted as to jack a TV. I mean, seriously? You'll pawn what, like 100 bucks for it, maybe? Throw it up on Ebay? "Race-riot TV for sale; get it while its hot!"?
Edit: I heard about the peaceful protest, and I agree that the media will not cover things that it feels wont receive ratings, so, in a way, I'm sure the media is eating this up. The media has a mic in the face of every black guy with a headband or a hoodie on out there, so both sides get what they want. At the same time, though, you have to feel sorry for both sides. Despite the fact that the media gets what they want and rioters get what -they- want in the short-term, neither group is getting what they ultimately want in the long run.
Its like being forced to act in a role for a play or movie that you already know the outcome of, but you still have to do it.
