Otherwise, do the smart thing and kill Cynoprosopi in NW Apollyon. Or Nyzul Isle 20/40 for that 1/3 chance at easy Fafnir.

Or just do what I did the other night..have people in your LS pop real Fafnir and accidentally Flail it and have it kill no one. In fact, I got a .5 parry skill when it did. Pics on my other laptop though..

What are you talking about, FFXI was just an Alpha launched to public that we had to pay to continue testing for because it was just that good, FFXIV is the Beta, they learned that they wont keep people around if they can't release content fast enough and learn to keep the game expanding even into its later age.

FFXIX is where the game is finally launched as a finished product.

I heard (or thought I heard) that they were supposed to be making it possible to upgrade the salvage armor, by synergy or something. What's happening about that? I spent too much gil getting that gear and now it's too gimp to wear >.>

According to the timeline, next update will include both new synergy recipes to augment existing gear and new magian trials, so I assume salvage gear will be under one of those.

Endgame wise, not much really is changing or being added for Lv.95.. an expansion to WoE and Voidwatch is it, and Voidwatch altho can be fun is just a kick in the balls when your mule keeps getting bodies and you keep getting logs.

Eh, atm all I care about is the new magian trials. I want to see what my staves get for 95 cap. :D
