This has been the story the past few years, as Jordan Jefferson has always had the talent, he has just never been good at actually playing the position. Everybody, including the Manning brothers, were raving about him at their camp(big whoop I know), but I won't believe it until I see it. It is possible Kragthorpe was able to make some kind of breakthrough but I am pessimistic.

Maybe the Mettenberger era will begin this year.

They should win the SEC East.
Garcia was reinstated, unless you were saying Garcia is unreliable and streaky as fuck, in which case I agree.

Yes, that's what I was saying, lol. Even with Garcia's lousy ass.. they still don't have any semi-reliability.

And lol @ Nebraska smashing the Big Ten. They may int he future, but not when they've got a guy like Taylor Martinez leading the charge. OU will most likely smash the Big XII though.

just goes to show, these preseason rankings are about as useful as the bcs
    You're not a walmart wolverine?

I don't see Ohio State being a top 25 team at all, but Nebraska Wisconsin and us (Michigan State) are good picks for the top 25.

I wouldn't go as far as saying we'll go all the way for the natl championship, but I have no idea who will this year. We got crushed last year by Bama, but then again that Bama team was a fucking monster unleashed that I'm convinced no other team would have beat that day. Soo it's time to forget about that loss.

Yep, IF Jefferson can come in and make enough plays without turning the ball over you might as well hand the crystal ball to LSU now because they're that loaded this year. Unfortunately I don't believe in Jefferson, I hope he can just be average which is all he would have to be to take LSU to the nat title.

Yeah. It's pretty amazing how well we have been able to do the past 2 years with terrible QB play. My biggest fear is Jefferson being Jefferson and Les not benching him for Mett out of loyalty.

er, what? you're saying Nebraska won't succeed in the big 10 as long as they have the best offensive player they've had since Frazier leading the team?

I'm pretty sure you're confused about something.

I can't believe Jefferson is still around, feels like I've been hearing his name for far too long.

Haha. Sorry. I guess seeing how Taylor Martinez performed last year in some of the bigger games.. just really doesn't give me good vibes, especially when he was dominated against Washington in the bowl. Then again, there's the whole 'well they didn't want to be there' card, so.. who knows. Also.. best since Tommie Frazier? o.O That was what.. 1995? Why was Martinez the best? Granted he was hot for the first part of the season, but once he got dinged up/people figured him out.

But yeah. Had to check his stats just to be sure I wasn't totally whiffing and thinking of someone else. He ran for a shit ton, but most of that came from the start of the year. His passing stats at QB were fairly awful.

i have bled maize and blue for the past 32 years, i showed my true heart in that i still rooted for UofM and didnt hide when shit hit the fan, my old ls was full of ohio state fans that really rubbed in the appalachian state loss, and now that ohio state is the laughing stock of the ncaa they are nowhere to be found, yet i was there for the good and the bad

ill say it again, FUCK LOLHIO STATE

big 12 freshman of the year, o'brien finalist...

he had no receivers and no running back, and that actually matters in the big 12

he got hurt in the A&M game and was worthless the rest of the year... and his 9-1 team finished 1-3, with the 1 win being Cololorado

South Carolina doesn't really need a "good" QB in order to succeed. Lattimore is a beast and the O-line is greatly improved from what i've seen in practice. Also they have two true threats at WR. An almost pedestrian QB can loft the ball to Jeffries and get a first down if the D stacks the box. The big question mark for this year is going to be their secondary. They gave up way too many HUGE plays last year.

So the rumor mill is saying that Texas Tech will announce they're joining the SEC on August 22nd. That seems pretty firm...the secondary, less firm rumor is that Oklahoma, Mizzou, and Oklahoma State will join as well...moving Auburn and Alabama to the East and all of them joining the West.

I would rather have Texas than Mizzou, but they probably aren't interested and would just become an independent if the big 12 does fall apart.
