    laptop question

I'm thinking about buying a macbook pro soon. Does anyone else have one and run WoW on it? I have a pc and it runs wow just fine...but I saw my brother play wow on his pc and it looked way better. Do you guys have any recommendations on laptops for wow? I don't plan on doing too much else on it, besides blogging maybe and web surfing / youtubing. Thanks very much

Guild mate says he plays WoW on his Mac Book Air, the older one too that is, and "runs perfect" when I doubted the performance.

And do you mean you saw your brother play WoW on his "PC" (MAC) ?

When I first played WoW... years and years ago... I first got it for my powerbook (yep, that long ago). And it ran fine. I ditched it for a PC later on. But if it ran fine on a mac back then, I doubt you will have any issues whatsoever now.

WoW's minimum/recommended system specs have gone up since TBC, so ancient computers probably won't run great on recent content.

That said a 2-3 year old laptop should still run WoW fine as long as you set the performance settings to something sane. My only complaint about WoW on a laptop is the laptop display itself.

I play on my macbook and my pc desktop depending on what I'm doing in game. Macs will run if fine, but you might end up installing bootcamp and running windows on your computer anyway. With me, if i'm healing in a raid mostly, I have to be on the pc.

The way that mac's mouse acceleration work is different from the normal way windows does. It starts much slower, but will speed up much quicker, instead of a constant amount of movement in relation from the cursor and your hand.

I'm not sure how to explain it best. But its different enough that it makes me extremely frustrated when trying to click on the right person in grid to heal them.

I've looked into ways you can change it to being a constant ratio like windows, but everything I've tried so far has done next to nothing.
