I downloaded this and I must say, I'm impressed. Very well done. I wish there was an official release of the original movies as good as this fan-project to restore them...

amazon is taking their sweet ass time shipping mine, guess free shipping gets the shaft
My copy just shipped
Can one of yas give a quick rundown on the transfer quality when you get your copy?
Given the age of the film, there would be a lot of noise and film dirt/grain if it was a straight-up transfer, so I am curious how much they touched it up given LucasArt's high visual expectations.
I admit, those were good
It might be unintentional but did you notice the Movie Voice guy going "The Greatest Saga of All Time is coming to the Big Screen!"
Shouldn't it be... back to the big screen?
Couple recently released fan-made films worthy of attention;
Star Wars: Dark Resurrection vol.0
Master Sorran, is obsessed by his search for an ancient civilization which, according to legend, holds the secret of immortality. After many years he lights upon the wreck of the civilisation’s most powerful starship: the Resurrection. Sorran ignores the dangers and orders his crew to dock. The explorers and Sorran himself will face the mysteries of the Resurrection and the secret of the origins of the dark side. Volume 0, in the original script written byAngelo Licata and Fabrizio Rizzolo, was only the prologue of Volume 2. After months of post-production, we realised that the material deserved to be properly developed as it tells interesting stories about the past of evil Lord Sorran and the mythology of Eron; fulcrum of the entire story.
Parts 1 & 2 (Italian only) can be seen at http://www.darkresurrection.com/portal/
Star Wars: A Light in the Darkness
A young boy watches as the Jedi who saved his people is killed by the very clones who once fought by his side.
Years later, as a member of a small insurgency against the empire he and his team hatch a new plan to take back their planet by drawing the attention of the newly formed rebel alliance.
Armed with the fallen Jedi’s light saber, he and his team battle to strike fear into the local imperial garrison, and overthrow their despotic governor. Their silent attacks give birth to a legend, and the people speak of a phantom Jedi whose spirit has returned.
As the story spreads they manage to draw attention to their forgotten corner of the galaxy, but who will arrive first, the rebel alliance or the empire?
Midnight Day 1
Yeah, I want to see the Pod Racing as well as the Space Battle on the the Battle Droid Command ship... and the Darth Maul fight
I personally have enjoyed all six movies >.> but to each their own !
Agreed. I hate Jar-Jar and I am going to cringe seeing Jar-Jar in 3D -_- I think Hayden did an okay job... he did get the part down of Anakin relying on his emotions to much that
turned him to the darkside... but he took it a little far, but looking back at it now, I don't know who else could have played Anakin
Give him a break. No actor on Earth could have possibly salvaged that script.
Once again, that is your opinion. I for one liked em
