I'm using nightly releases and firefox has been getting steadily better since like 6.0, and i haven't had a crash in months. I blame your addons/plugins if you think it's getting worse.

also noticed they are up to V24 now, I haven't updated mine in a bit since I like the way its working since that days release >.>
I was running 20.0.1 when I made that post and just upgraded to 21.0 so hopefully that is better. I don't know whether to go out of my way to get higher versions that haven't been pushed out to the general update system yet though.
Maybe it is just a plugin causing my crashes.
I have been noticing FF is really laggy lately. Sometime it's almost unusable. Just a example: I was looking at a sports site with GIF's on the page and it's horrible. Anybody else having this happen recently?
Not unless i don't restart it for > 3 weeks.
Even if I close the browser and then go back to the same page again it still does it.
Firefox 22 is out. From what I'm reading the biggest change is a Javascript optimization thingy that helps out web gaming; as in you can run Unreal Engine with Javascript on Firefox now. Here's the full release notes if you're curious.
Firefox 23 seems to be crashing a lot for me when loading flash content... pissing me off.
I'm getting crashes, but not on flash, just randomly on sites (including BG). Or even with nothing else but an empty new tab.
23 has no audio on vines or on soundcloud. i had the same problem on the older version. SOMEONE PLZ HELP
GOT THIS
enter about:config into the address bar, hit enter and it'll bring up a long list of preference keys. type "media.windows" into the search bar and it'll narrow it down so you can find the key named "media.windows-media-foundation.enabled". By default it'll be set to "true", and if so, double-click it to set it to "false" and vines should play.
I dunno what addons you guys use but perfect across 4 different machines here with minimal addons (Adobe Reader, FLash Block, NoScript, DownloadHelper, Java)
WinXP (virtual)
WinXP (work) Core2Duo P8700
WinVista (home-drone) Q9000
7 (main) i7 3770s
I have ABP, Lastpass, Xmarks, Java, Flash.
Had to downgrade my work one back to 22. They removed the "load images" checkbox, so now all images are loaded regardless, something I didn't see last week when I upgraded, as I was using firefox to do some legit work haha.
I've had minor crashes before. But this last one took the cake..
I had to reboot and reinstall my addons. Not that I got anything fancy mind you. Add To Search Bar, Status 4 Evar, Noscript, Adblocker Plus, Lazarus (which I just upgraded to latest version after this happened), Greasemonkey (mostly use that for my Etsy), ietab2, and the megaupload extension.
I'll have to readd the FFXI searches, those don't get readded when I have to redo, rawwwr. Let's hope this don't happen again..
Sorry about the double post, but..There is a major bug in the latest version of firefox. (That's Firefox 26)
It won't let you view your Yahoo mail because it's active mixed content. (since that's my main mail, that's a cussin' problem) Here's the fix: Addon to easily toggle mixed active content, Install, click the icon in the addon bar, and have your email be happy. ^^
Apparently Firefox having a major redesign:

Looks like shit. I will never understand why people keep taking a good thing and making it worse, worse, and worse.
