sandler movies tend to have really bad trailers





and then like grown ups trailer actually looked funny, and anger management's kind of did, even though they were both terrible

billy madison was awesome and that trailer isnt bad. you didn't like anger management? did sandler write or co-write funny people btw? i think his wholly original ideas as of late, have sucked. maybe its because he's made it, he doesn't have much else to say as a comedian.

actually, he could be a decent dramatic actor. punch drunk love was a good movie (i didn't really like reign over me that much)

I haaaaaaaaaaaated anger management. I really, really despise Jack Nicholson so that probably played a part, but I just didn't find anything funny in that movie at all.

But yeah, Billy Madison, Happy Gilmore, Waterboy, and Wedding Singer all are some of my favorite comedies, just didn't think any of their trailers really did them justice. I also liked Airheads, Big Daddy was pretty good, and I hate to admit it but I actually love Bedtime Stories lol.

I liked Chuck & Larry and Zohan a lot as well.

As to the serious stuff, he's gotten really good reviews for pretty much all of Punch Drunk Love, 50 First Dates, Reign Over Me, and Spanglish.

You know, it's weird how much the 'art of the trailer' has progressed since the 90s though. How many good trailers are there from that era? I can't seem to find any.

Probably the worst to get a major circuit release. You can tell something is wrong when even the actors in the promos have to force themselves to mention the name of the film. Don Johnson has sunken so low.

Yea that was awesome and it seems like a lot of movies today copy that style. I think 'on average' though a lot of movies had crappy trailers (by today's standards). A lot of old trailers seemed like commercials for household appliances and with way too much voice-over.
