Been trying to find a copy of FF 7 on PC. I know what needs to be done to get it to work, but every copy I have seen cost 60$+ which is kinda reasonable, but was wondering if any BGer's have a copy they are willing to part with![]()

download ff7 off the psn or just download the ultima edition >_________________>, gonna be nearly impossible to find ff7 pc new nowadays
I don't have a PS3 -_- unlike a lot of people on the board, I have a wife and kid to help support so I am not always able to throw money around... plus son has been in and out hospital for past year... so whatever money extra we do have, goes to his med bills. Thanks for the thought though Peace![]()
I have the ff7 discs for the pc, and i have tried many times to get them to work on my laptop (vista) and no matter all the patches i try to use it never seems to work, id consider selling them but they only really worked for me on operating systems windows 98 and xp. If your looking into playing it on the pc id just recommend using an emulator. Perhaps someone else may have had better luck then me, but i dont think its really worth the effort.
The Ultima edition works on windows 7, just need the correct patches, square isnt making money off the pc version anymore, so not like it matters if you download it.

Just sign up and youll be able to see the links.
The only issue with the PC version is that the music is all downgraded midi versions of the originals D:
But if you dont have a PS3, this is the easiest option you have if you just wanna play the game![]()
or get a psx emulator and play the original version
Thank you very much Peace, downloading now :D
Any good mods that work with the Ultima Edition?
I havnt used it for a while, but iirc there was a psx music mod, a psx fmv mod, a high resolution mod, some guys are trying to make the entire game hd lol, and have done most of the models already.
http://forums.qhimm.com/index.php?topic=8915.0 is a compilation of ALL the mods that are finished or being worked and its just an .exe you can execute on a FF7 PC install.
THIS PROBABLY WONT WORK ON THE ULTIMA EDITION, just so you know, the guys who make the mods just test it on the original version.
That and the fact the mod pack is a 1.8 gig download >_> only worth it if you REALLY wanna see what people are doing to the game
it looks pretty cool my friend is running it, my only complaint is that the music is lamish and the battle music doesn't loop properly sometimes.
Yeah, the music is the biggest problem i have with the pc version, fortunately, theres a mod to put the original music back in

I'm fairly confident that works with the ultima edition so id recommend giving it a try![]()
Just went ahead with the original version with the remix mods. Good deal. Any way to hook up my PS3 controller and play it (wirelessly)?![]()
iirc FF7 PC only lets you map keys to the keyboard, however:
To make a dualshock 3 work wirelessly on your pc, you need a bluetooth adapter, and drivers from http://motioninjoy.com
Then youll need to download a program that lets you map keyboard keys to controller buttons: http://xpadder.com/
Simply maps the keys your using in ff7 to the buttons on your controller and it should work theoretically.
Have fun lol
(or just avoid all these problems, download epsxe and download the ff7 ps1 iso from emuparadise <________<
I actually have the FFVII for PC in original CD book if still interested in an actual copy.
FF7 on PSP works too... last time I played it through was on there, emulators etc.
Closing thread, thanks for all the posting. I was able to nab FF7 black label on amazon for 25$ mint condition![]()
