Snow White and the Huntsman (June 1, 2012)

Went to see this yesterday and overall the movie was atrocious. What's even worse is that it had some potential, there were some interesting effects and maybe if a director like Del Toro did this it would been better.
Charlize was terrible and her role was overacted as hell. I dont think it's her fault because we all know she can do better, it seems to me like a shitty calls by the director. Chris Hemsworth was the only saving grace of the movie, he was the only character and performance with any type of appeal. Kristen Stewart needs to die in a fire. Watching her act is like watching a retard paint a house. She was beyond terrible.

Yeah, the incest really bothered me too. Not so much because it's incest but more so because it was just completely unnecessary.

Also, greatest thing to come from this thread is the information that we're going to get to see Kristen Stewart naked.

Snow White and the Huntsman seems to be getting a sequel. Universal hired David Koepp to write a script for the sequel in April, and now Deadline reports that the studio is now in talks with director Rupert Sanders to return for the second film. He reportedly had a great time making the first movie and is interested in going behind the camera again. Kristen Stewart, Charlize Theron, and Chris Hemsworth have options for two sequels in their contract already.
The film has outperformed expectations with a solid $56 million opening weekend and has done $118 million worldwide. The film had a price tag of $170 million, so it has to keep chugging along at the box office for the next couple of weeks. Since Universal does not have to rush out a movie because of Mirror, Mirror, a better sequel is highly possible.

The scene in the Sanctuary with the moose thing: HUGE FUCKING TRIBUTE to Princess Mononoke? There's no way it can't be. Spirit Guardian moose thing in a little glade that's sacred with the tree. And the little tree spirit white lookin guys. C'monnnnn. It was awesome.

Also the minor touching. Someone here mentioned that it didn't need to be thrown in the movie. But I understand it. She doesn't trust a single person. Especially not anyone male. Except her brother. He devotes his life to her. It makes sense that they'd have something there in the incestuousness sense. Not exactly "you're pretty" like Game of Thrones but yea.
