As already been said, the cat just loves you. My mom's cats do the same things when they've picked their new best friend. You get followed around and they want to be with you all the time. They want pets and love and cuddles.

Cats are like women, the more you ignore them, the more they chase after you. But it's probably too late to turn things around now, but you could try giving her attention, or give the kittens attention.
