Patch 4.3 - Deathwing, Transmogrifier, Void Storage
Tom Chilton (Kalgan) answered a couple of questions from Gamona.de on Patch 4.3, and we got a bunch of very interesting news out of it. Patch 4.3 will feature:

• New Raid - The Deathwing raid, making it very likely to be the last patch before the next expansion.
• 3 new 5-man instances - Including one in the Caverns of Time. (War of the Ancients was mentioned as a cataclysm instance a few years ago, but a lot of things have changed since then, who knows!)
• The Transmogrifier NPC, which will let you change the appearance of any armor piece on you, while retaining the stats of your current gear. (= T12 stats, but with the Tier 2 look!)
• Players won't be able to change the appearance of their armor into another armor type or class armor set, and you might have to own the armor before you can use it to swap the appearance of your existing armor.
• The Void Storage is a new type of bank where players will be able to store their old armors in order to free up space in their regular bank.
• The Abyssal Maw dungeon is gone for the moment, the storyline wasn't convincing enough/fitting.

Transmogrifier NPC is <3. I knew I saved all my old tier sets for some reason! And on that note, hooray Void Storage! I can finally store my T1 - T11 armor somewhere other than my cluttered ass bank!

yeah, this is pretty fast compared to normal..

Really bad expansion, cost them 900+k subs, not surprising its ending earlier than the others.

Expansions usually don't 'end' until you get one more raid after the on-the-cover boss

TBC Illidan -> Kil'Jaeden
Wrath LK -> Halion

There will be someting to kill after Deathwing falls. Won't drop new tiersets, but it will mark the final raid released before WoW 5.0 is announced.

It is a damn shame they're dropping the Abyssal Maw stuff, I thought it was plenty intriguing. I guess their production schedule is tightening up.

Not sure why people think Cata was such a bad expansion, I've enjoyed the raids quite a bit.

They are also dropping the CoT raid /sad.

Looking forward to the item changer npc and storage npc. Love to have a place to store old armor and event item stuff. And while 4.3 may be the last big patch before new xpac (lolpandas filler xpac), I doubt we will see it until Nov/Dec. Still unsure where we are fighting deathwing as this is the first xpac where the end boss lair has been a mystery. I'd assume somewhere in twilight highlands, maybe around the black dragonflight/ grim batol area?

Patch 4.3 Interviews - Updated
Interviews keep hitting the web and we now know a few more things thanks to the interviews on Kotaku, Gamona.de, and Buffed.de!

New Raid
Deathwing raid will be the final raid of the expansion.
You will even get to ride on Deathwing's back during the fight, apparently to take him down over multiple phases.
The project for an Abyssal Maw is gone for the moment, the storyline wasn't convincing enough/fitting.

5-Man Instances
3 new 5-man instances will be added in this patch.
One of the instance will be in the Caverns of Time, for the War of the Ancients

Transmogrifier (Preview below)
The Transmogrifier NPC, which will let you change the appearance of any armor piece on you, while retaining the stats of your current gear. (= T12 stats, but with the Tier 2 look!)

Void Storage

It will hold 100-150 items. Anything stored there will lose all gems and enchantments.

Raid Finder
The Raid Finder will be introduced in Patch 4.3, it will work like the Dungeon Finder.

Darkmoon Faire
There will be a new Darkmoon Faire island with a bunch of new activities such as "Whack-a-Gnome"

I'm thinking there is more to it, I agree. Its way premature to end it so soon, so there will be some loregasmic grand end raid for us after this.

I hope this is not true, got rid of my heroic tier 10 mage set =/.
edit: I guess it's not too bad, could always re-buy tier 10.

Expansion make a lot of money from direct sale, and bring people back to the game, they probably wan't to stop the bleeding and cash on it.

That said, I wouldn't be surprised if we get another raid after Deathwing. I mean, last 2 expansion did get a "bonus" raid, and the Old God manipulating Death Wing (indirectly) has to come into play at some point. It's probably the one we will deal with in Mist of Pandaria (mist = kvaldir, which are also controlled by the same old god supposedly), but an introduction raid isn't impossible either. Hell, they might even do it in abyssal maw in the end.

Prolly won't get any real big info about 4.3 until blizzcon since it would only make sense. Unless they want to use that time to release early info of panda xpac

I don't think 4.3 will be the end at all.

You can't make these assumptions when Blizzard has shown they can reincarnate bosses however they want regardless how it affects the lore, hi2u Ragnoras.

They don't give a flying shit about lore when it comes to adding PvE/PvP content, which I don't blame them for. The lore is a story, read the fucking books if your that interested, let the game evolve.
