Wireless IP# Issues? Maybe? Not Sure? .. Help :(

I'll try to make this as easy as possible without confusing myself or others.

Until last week I was able to log into my main wireless network with no issues. Now out of the blue (and yes I've tried rolling back drivers and restoring from previous restore point) I can only access my internet by logging in under my guest network.

I use cisco wireless adapter on my desktop.

Anywho, the things that stick out to me is the fact that my wireless is picking up the network no problem but when I double-click the network it won't obtain any IP address for v4 or v6.

But when I click on as a guest I have perfect internet (which is how I'm typing this all right now).

I know it's something in my computer settings that have been messed with since my roommates laptop can connect to the main network, along with my PS3, and my laptop.

I've tried googling the problem and nothing seems to be working or I'm doing it wrong.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Anything at all?

While connected via Ethernet - check to see if your router is giving out DHCP addresses.

Okay, connected via wires and yes I have a DHCP address. IPv4 only, no IPv6 (if that even means anything).

I should add I also get all those addresses when connected as a guest, but nothing when connected through the main network.

Edit: well holy shit.. I fixed it myself, lol. I ended up uninstalled and reinstalling everything to do with wireless on my computer and it works just fine now. Yay.
