this better be a fucking joke
I read about this a while back. I think it's an RTS set at some point before Roberts rebellion. Haven't heard much about it other than that though. :/
there's also an Elder Scrolls-ish game in development that is supposed to follow characters not in the books, but during the events of the books, or some such.
so apparently this game is out for sale now? whos a rich mofo who can tell me how it is?
Not going to touch it with a 10 ft pole.
Looks like handsdown the worst game of the decade.
http://www.vg247.com/2012/02/29/cast...s-rpg-screens/Focus Home Interactive has sent over a batch of screenshots from Cyanide’s ROG A Game of Thrones which focus on the home of House Harlton, the township of Castlewood.
Fifteen years ago, the Lord of Castlewood supported House Targaryen during Robert Baratheon’s rebellion and was sentenced to die treason. His brother Arwood Harlton, who was loyal to King Robert, inherited Castlewood and he is a friend of House Sarwyck.
This just so happens to the house the player will belong to in the game, and as an heir of Sarwyck, you, Alester, will use Castlewood as a safe place when you find yourself in danger.
Castlewood is an original location and will play a “key role” in the game, and the developers took pains to make sure it fit into the existing A Song Of Ice And Fire saga.
The township will be one of the place the game’s two heroes – Mors, a brother of the Night’s Watch, and Alester, the Red Priest – will explore and fight through.
A Game of Thrones RPG will be made available on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 upon release.

Spoiler: show
There's a video for The Game of Thrones RPG, as well. Is that the same as Genesis?
This looks a lot better than Genesis, but still doesn't get my hopes up. As a licensed property, it's going to be greeted with an even more skeptical eye. At least Martin is involved in the story, somehow. And he sort of shows up in the trailer at about 1:52. I'll probably wait for the reviews.
two different games. At least Atlus is doing the newer one so there is hope that it may be good

I'm surprised and annoyed that the game looks like it's a 2009 release.
I was really hyped for genesis for a while, but then decided against it. Here's hoping the story/rpg elements are strong and that this is actually a good game.
It's a game created to profit off the popularity of it's title's namesake.
How many games like those have been good?
