Mouse disconnects briefly while right clicking

Weird problem that started happening in the last few days: desktop PC built from CyberPower, never had any issues with any of the USB ports. There are two USB ports on the front face of the tower, I have the same issue when my mouse is plugged into either of them. When I try to right click anywhere on the screen, in a browser, in a game, whatever, it makes the "device disconnected sound," and the mouse stops moving/clicking/doing anything.

After that, it makes the "Device Discovered" sound, the mouse functions properly and left clicks just fine (still doesn't right click, though -- causes the same problem over again), but no window in the toolbar pops up saying "USB Device Discovered" or anything. It just makes the sound. Anyone know what's going on?

It's just a crappy "Xtreme Gear" wired mouse that came with the desktop, btw, nothing fancy. I don't have any other mice I can try in the ports, unfortunately.

Do you have anything else that requires power to test to the USB ports with? The ports on the front of my case simply won't start my R.A.T 7 (but will work with cheap basic mice and usb drives). I'm assuming this issue doesn't happen if you use the rear ports?

Could just be a loose solder connection inside of your mouse where every time you right click you disconnect your wireless receiver from power every time you press right click, try just pushing down on the right side of the mouse and see if the same thing happens, you could also be shorting out the receiver if it got moved around somehow on the inside. If you have any tech/nerd friends with a soldering iron I'd suggest just asking them to crack it open and reflow the solder joints.
