Last league sucked huge ass except the fun Expedition league mechanic. This league looks bonkers insane. Between Diablo2 and this I think my Fall gaming is gonna be ARPG heavy.
Auroras have taken a pretty big hit, and unless the descriptions are wrong, and they will affect minions, then minion builds probably went poof for anything end-game. We'll know for sure once PoB is updated and we can play around with the info. If the "Effect of your Auras on You" doesn't also mean minions, and it never has before, well...
Interested in bringing back an Arc Witch build. Lots to consider. Crafting looks even crazier with the "roll prefixes" and "roll suffices" expansion currency.
But God damn the atlas passive tree just means another few hours to study and plan.
I haven't played since Betrayal league because potato PC but have been keeping track of changes in anticipation of POE2. I guess the Atlas passive tree will just craft your atlas experience to do the things you like most.
Inb4 harvest nodes being tier 1 for SSF players.
I'll probably just beeline for Delve and Blight to start.
I love the blight mechanic. If there is Expedition I'll jump on that too. I've been SSF for the last 3 leagues and really learned how to craft my own shit. Essences are great for early map SSF if there are nodes for that.
As much information as released, it's also really easy to digest. I doubt the atlas passive tree will be that complicated; just pick the content you enjoy most and buff it.

i played a lot this past league on PS4, kinda fun on there, somethings are easier somethings are super annoying bc of the controls. scourge league was pretty cool, i played that busted physical trapper and melted everything and goofed around on a freezing pulse build quite a bit too, i never get too far into maps, i get bored and start another character maybe next league will change that
I played ice trapper in Expedition - it was really fun but the trap mechanic wasn't my thing (but priming traps on bosses and freeze-locking them was tight).
With the QoL changes to spectres I might try detonate dead again, or reroll from an elemental witch if self-cast ends up sucking ass. I can't remember if the highest HP spectre is still the harvest crab or something else.
Might stay on the look out for good bow drops. I always wanted to try an ice shot build, and now might be my chance to experiment. I can't do another toxic rain build...I just..cant.
Eh. Wonder what the new 15% desecrate spawn will do to that number considering a lot of areas had a stupid large desecrate pool. And then there is the item that doesn't let spectres travel between areas. I can't remember what buff it had, but since spectres are saved to your character your spectre desecrate pool won't be affected by changing areas with that item (unless you raise a different spectre).
Specter to character may make me go witch again, but I kind of wanted to play something else. I've done cyclone, which is fine, and somewhat looking into a totem build. Self-cast always seemed to have too little movement and spammy, as with bows.
Problem: The "All Attacks with this Weapon are Critical Strikes" modifier on Trypanon causes the critical strike chance of the weapon itself to display as 100%, as though it was modifying the weapon's critical strike chance, which it doesn't actually do. This would mean that Destructive Link would not grant 100% critical strike chance to the linked target.
Solution: Change this modifier so that it does affect the critical strike chance of the weapon.
