First quake I have felt in MD and actually knew it was a quake as it happened. Lasted about 30s or so but it was just a long rumble. Still weak compared to the 2 quakes I have felt while I was in Cali on vacation. My cats bolted in all directions as I stood there thinking, coooool, oh shit fan, I should move two feet, coooool.

This exactly. Felt different then the first quake I was in though. The first quake I experienced felt like I was in a boat on water with gentle rolling waves.

People on the west coast probably feel it and think "Oh shit, a quake."

I just felt it and was wondering if something blew up nearby or a plane crashed or some shit. When it occurred to me that it might have been a quake, I went to my PC to check FB and see if other people felt it too haha.

felt it here at work...teaching kids while a quake strikes is ummm not gonna happen heh. Was pretty freaking scary though whole building shook. First thought it was either a strong wind or the quarry that is near by....but then was pretty hardcore....knew it wasnt either. HOLY SHIT!
