    Is it worth losing the zanshin bonus from aces hands on your tp set as well, I assume the stp you're getting from ammo/neck/feet outweighs that bonus? is it worth using the Mala Necklace with quad attk+ for now?

    You could go for a 6hit Zanshin build but with the new gear from the 95 cap, the sacrafices to 5hit are very small compared with 90 cap.

    I'm somewhere around 0/100 on Ganesha's Mala, but still wouldn't use it on SAM.

    Toying with the idea of making a relic. I know it was a discussion before but not sure if it changed at 95 but which ones are worth making that would be way better than their empy counter part?

    I know Gun is one for its very low hate. I think Dagger is another for thf, any others?

    KOR still sucks but against high defense targets Excal is still fairly good iirc, Aegis for obvious reasons, Amano for Sam, Apoc for Drk come to mind off the top of my head as relics that are worth it compared to Empyreans in certain situations. Brovura is mostly for defensive usage for non Ukon War. Gjallerhorn for inventory+ for w/e instruments you have other than a Daurdabla.

    The strongest Empyreans at 90 are still better than their level 95 Relic equivalents. The weaker Empyreans are likely worse than their level 95 Relic equivalents. Relics have gained a lot of ground lately basically just because people don't assume constant Abyssea buffs when running their comparisons anymore.

    Vereth (Level 90) > Spharai (Level 95)
    Twashtar (Level 90) < Mandau (Level 95)
    Almace (Level 90) < Excalibur (Level 95) for damage on anything you'd want Paladin on, I imagine. It's worse for hate though, somewhat ironically.
    Caladbolg (Level 90) > Ragnarok (Level 95) ... maybe.... GS is weird because it's more TP-phase oriented than other 2H weapons. Unfortunately, situations where Crits become the most valuable are also situations where you wouldn't have a DRK meleeing the monster (Voidwatch). In that case, no TP phase damage and Ragnarok loses.
    Farsha (Level 90) <<< Guttler (Level 95) Guttler has always been a beastly little Axe, and the Empyrean just isn't competitive.
    Ukonvasara (Level 90) > Bravura (Level 95) but Bravura still gives -20% DT, which is pretty badass, and Metatron is less of a sacrifice than it used to be.
    Redemption (Level 90) << Apocalypse (Level 95) if you want the ignores defense, then you probably also want extra Acc, to be able to melee in -DT gear, stack more attack during the TP phase, w/e. Apoc is just a more versatile weapon.
    Rhongomiant (Level 90) < Gungnir (Level 95) Neither WS is impressive or worth using, and Gungnir is a better weapon.
    Kannagi (Level 90) < Kikoku (Level 95) Blade: Hi was always a fairly minor upgrade from Jin outside Abyssea. 5 Base damage, 35 Attack, and effectively a permanent ~20~25% ODD rate more than compensates for the lack of 30% ODD in my opinion.
    Masamune (Level 90) > Amanomurakumo (Level 95) If we were stipulating that SAMs only WS at exactly 100TP, Amano would be better. Realistically though, it's not.
    Armageddon (Level 90) < Annihilator (Level 95) purely based on Enmity-related arguments. The Enmity suppression on Wildfire isn't comparable to that on Coronach, and the Coronach aftermath is awesome.
    Gandiva (Level 90) < Yoichinoyumi (Level 95) for the same reasons, and because you really can't maintain a reasonable crit rate on anything that Ranger is good against. (okay, KS99 Wyrm so I'm wrong, but that's one thing).

    Ones people don't care about:
    Gamb < Mjollnir
    Hverg > Claustrum because no one cares either way.
    Aegis vs. Ochain has been done to death. They're both brokenly awesome, and slightly edge each other out depending on the situation.
    G-horn vs. Durabalabalaba isn't an argument, because you get both of them.

    I would be interested to hear if Metatron users are noticing their Defense Down effect proccing more often after the Break update.

    What was the Quick Draw damage progression for Death Penalty again?

    Was it this?:
    75 = +20%
    80 = +25%
    85 = +30%
    90 = +35%

    Hi's higher innate critrate and frontloaded damage should not be ignored. Against lesser targets it's basically as you said, but I have to favor Kannagi for Voidwatch.

    Ragnarok has the potential to be DRK's highest DPS weapon on anything mid to high level, but lack of utility + STP constraints (less of an issue at 95 thankfully) + WS skew and TP overflow in Voidwatch really hurt it in practice as you mentioned.

    See, I wouldn't consider NIN's DPS in Voidwatch, because I never see NINs used for DPS in Voidwatch. People always bring one as a "back up tank" but really the most useful thing they'll do all night is cast three Ninjutsu per element and use Katana WSs. If the main tank (Aegis or O.chain) ever dies, they either:
    1) Can't get hate.
    or
    2) Die almost immediately.

    Honestly, Voidwatch NIN should probably sub BLM and use Earth/Terra's.

    It doesn't take that long to cycle through Ninjutsu procs. Innin gives you pretty solid accuracy and high critrate, there's really no reason not to DD every time Fanatic's is up/during HQ procs with temps and atmacites. Not sure why you'd go /BLM or use Terra's, if you're just afkprocing you shouldn't be taking much physical damage and /RDM would be superior for proc speed. Keep the katanas on for regain.

    EDIT: /RDM would also offer small defensive benefits I suppose. But really, Voidwatch sucks enough without spending 80% of every fight sitting on your ass waiting for a new proc message.

    /BLM would be in lieu of /DRK, though I can't swear Sleepga > Absorb access. Terra's would be for PDT, because the alleged NIN wouldn't be holding hate through shitty Katana damage. I've just noticed that every tank except O.Chain/Aegis PLD tends to have severe survivability issues in Voidwatch.

    One or two NMs are Evasion tankable, as long as the Evasion tank can survive the severe amounts of AoE damage, but many just have moves that you need Paladin's extreme durability to survive. Migawari is great, but it only gets you so far with that recast. Shadows get raped by AoEs, etc.

    Disagree with Almace and Cala, but otherwise agreed.

    Aside from mobs that have special damage reductions I can usually push 900-1400 CDC's in VW and that's with an 85 Almace.

    Edit: Unless Excal's ODD pulls ahead @2.5 from Almace's x2. I can usually maintain aftermath unless hate gets wonky

    The chance for sword procs also favors Excalibur. Its obviously not an every-time kind of occurring, but the minute you have to start cycling things that aren't CDC, Almace takes a gigantic nosedive.

    I'd say that if you can utilize the NIN's SJ for a proc or procs that you wouldn't otherwise have(or would have to allocate to someone who loses more by covering it), do so, but otherwise have /WAR for output during Fanatic's/weakness periods. That said, I'd have to go with having your katanas at the ready for when either of those situations come up(a NIN/BLM can still deal a chunk of damage, after all).

    My Terra's suggestion was just purely for when the NIN is filling its role as a backup tank. It can certainly swap in Katanas/use wings whenever the monster is staggered/fanatic's is up/etc. Point was that face tanking a monster in Voidwatch on NIN is going to result in lower Enmity gain and more TP fed than spamming spells on it.

    Voidwatch caters to the level 75 "hard monster" strategies. PLDs are back in style, so NIN/DRK-esque strategies may work again too.

    I don't really have time to respond to this right now so I'll do so when I get back from work but the gist of it is I don't care about trying to NIN tank in Voidwatch, aside from maybe the cactuar it's a fucking waste of time and as such has no bearing on my choice of subjob or whether to boost my output via regain or waste it by wearing a staff.

    Ah, misunderstood. I've personally never witnessed a NIN at the ready to backup tank. I've found RDM to be moderately effective at it, as long as they can time Aquaveil/Blink/Stoneskin fairly well. Its a short-term remedy, but it generally works well enough until a PLD is ready to take over.

    Tried searching for this, but was unsuccessful finding anything relevant:

    Is it possible to copy FFXI to another computer by just copying the whole "Playonline" folder into the other computer's "Program Files" folder and expect the game to work? I can't install the game normally on company's laptop due to stupid restrictions, so I was just thinking of copying the whole game folder lol.

    And no, I don't intend to play at work, I just want to examine the possibility of using the laptop at home to dualbox lol. Anyone try this before?
