I use it to get around long install times, but I don't copy the whole folder, just the Final Fantasy XI folder. I've heard you can do it, but I think it involves a bit more work outside of drag and drop.

Not quite. It pops in the gears AS well as within the acroliths. Not sure exactly where it roams to post popping in the acroliths as we've popped and killed it there.

Yea, my bad, of all the fights I did it only popped in Gears, then the next day it pops in Acroliths. From my experience with the gears it stays roaming in gears and never seemed to path out.

Honestly, I'm generally the best "back up tank" in my voidwatch alliance just by playing two Black Mage characters at once and keeping hate pretty even between them. Generally the monster kills the real tank and goes around raping DDs until it reaches me (~1 minute). I Fanatic's one of my characters and nuke, try to proc, watch for stuff to Stun, etc. When the Fanatic's is about to wear off (~2 minutes), I pop Manawall spam ethers, and start nuking with the other one. When the other pulls hate, Fanatic's (~4 minutes) Manawall, ethers, etc. If I can manage a proc and get four Fanatic's drinks to use and more Ethers to feed Mana Wall, I can generally tank it until the PLD unweakens.

It has worked on Hahava, Ildebrann, and Celaeno. Modron didn't kill me when I tried it on him, but he resets hate so much that I can hardly call it tanking.

Whether or not you care about NIN tanking in Voidwatch, it would be stupid to argue Kannagi > Kikoku because it's better in an event that you could do almost equally well with a Trainee Burin.

Huge issue: bastion credits on mule, got 0 club and divine is pity bad, no nuking atmas, martello dies in less than 1 hit.Excluding ops ideas on how to make 1k credits? I'm at like 12-_-

Have /sch? If you accession C4's onto the NPCs they last a lot longer vs non-chariot waves, can get a couple kills.

I've only played FFXI on consoles, but got a PC recently and want to try the PC version of the game and dual-boxing. Looking for a quick rundown of how to get started. Here's what I've gathered so far - am I wrong about, or overlooking anything?

1. Install Windows 7 POL.

2. Install FFXI. Which collection is recommended? Would the Ultimate Collection Abyssea Edition downloaded from Amazon be a good option?

3. Follow Kohan's instructions for the 2003-Sept2011 all updates .zip extraction.

4. Launch POL & FFXI, and allow it to download & install any remaining files.

5. I assume an account creation walkthrough takes place sometime during all this, and the 2nd account would be linked to the same SE account my original POL ID was transferred to a couple months ago?


Also, any good guides out there for dual-boxing efficiently?

I could be wrong, but at think at some point you'll need to go into the windower folder and choose to run launcher as an administrator or it won't boot up properly. I had to do it on my new computer at least.

As for dual-boxing, some people use multisend, but I've 2boxed for so long it's just kind of become second nature so I haven't used any third party stuff for it; I'm sure it would make me infinitely better though. Can also set up some autoexec as well do some stuff, but I'm not sure how.

Also, yeah. Don't buy any other collection except the abyssea one, and Amazon is usually the best deal for it.

Thus far: CastTime*(1-FC)*(1-Book)

Do different sources of CR stack with each other additive or multiplicative? EX: Enhancing Magic Cast Reduction/Affinity Cast Reduction

AMK is by pretty much any job that can self SC light or darkness. Haven't tried ACP or ASA since 75.

Assuming it's 2 separate accounts, kill shit on main, cure yourself on mule. throw a banishga (even for crap damage) if theres a bunch of mobs to get some enmity then let someone else kill. If it's on the same account, look for other people doing bastion and throw them a cure. If they kill the mob, you get points.

Considering Ethereal Earring and Flume Belt for a combined "Convert's 5% of damage taken to MP"; does that effectively ~CUT~ 5% of the damage taken? Or do you have to take the damage to be able to convert and fill up your MP.

In other words, will Convert 5% of damage taken to MP count towards damage taken- caps? Is it seperate? Does it cut damage at all?

It doesn't actually reduce the damage you take, iirc. 1000 Needles wearing Ethereal only does 1000 damage. You just get 20 MP back for it.

Thanks for the awesome info, somehow I did understand I had to do dmg or be bust in doing bastion, seemed quite strange but well...Gonna try both and hopefully finish that.Bastion should have got some changes, that martello is useless at like 20 hp -_-!

BLU can solo ACP at min and BST could solo ASA at 90 iirc.
