I did some googling, but nothing seems to be really current.

I just got my WHM up to 75, so I wanted to catch up the "best" subjobs for it. (I only have SMN at 37+)

On my Server I see most with /BLM, but I've heard good things about /RDM and /SCH.

Is any particular one the 'best' ?

Not one that is the best. /rdm and /sch are for when you might need more mp. So like outside abyssea when you don't have someone else refreshing. /blm is nice for stuns

Couple questions:

1)RDM merits considering would be mostly for soloing things if ever? I mainly unlocked it due to boredom but I kinda plan to use it to kite-solo annoying things.
2)DNC solo merits? idea is to solo things+duo/solo dyna currency, generally not used in any party with more than 3 people.
3)How do people get 1-30 lately with jobs? Oubliette gov is an issue since my mule has no DD capability and it kinda broke on the fact that 95 is too high to make it get exp, I thought just doing normal gov with my whm PLing me, but being naked on most jobs is just too slow or painfull, any newfangled way to do 1-30 without having to fully gear a job and relatively quick?Kinda have to do 6 more jobs atleast -_-
4) retaliation skillup on war, being a leeched/half assed war with some +1 and bad gear, should I just go to altepa, gather mandies, and pl with my mule my way to capped skills or should I do something before?Even gaxe is pretty bad around 165.


Also to answer the ganesha's mask question, check the last few what's better topic pages, asked the same I was answered it's for mnk usefull in some situations, but I didn't check if there was any new answer.Surely it has uses on mnk.

Suggestions on 2 boxing Capricornus?

I've had so much trouble with this little shit compared to people talking on the lolWiki, was hoping people had ideas to help. I would need to be on either RDM or BLU (since it's my weapon trial) and I have my husband's character as THF. I got one "NQ" version that I killed easy as pie, but the "HQ" versions raped my shit hard. Hybrid evasion set for THF (Mandau/STR Kila+3, O. Hat, SH+1, Ocelot hands, AF3+2 feet and legs, Boxer Mantle, Jack-o-Lantern). Recoil dive did miss alot, but it would take shadows every time I had shadows up, and if I tried to outrun it I had to get quite far away (20 yalms?) to get the out of range message. Even if Recoil Dive missed, hate would reset.

I'm really not the best at 2 boxing on this kind of thing, should I just suck it up and shout for a group? My LS is never online/awake at the times I am able to play lately so I'm pretty must always by myself >.> My husband rarely plays anymore either, so I normally will be 2 boxing when I do stuff. I have a 3rd account with a WHM, but with the hate resets she'd get raped fast too >.>

I was thinking maybe going in with normal TP/WS gear instead of the evasion set and just trying to kill him before he kills me, but I dunno...

Was easy to straight tank solo on rdm at 75, dunno why you are having so much trouble. Just run right away when it does mighty strikes if you are having trouble with that.

I haven't fought him, but if you take him to a pin spot (there are great ones in both past and present ronfaure, see http://kanican.livejournal.com/47080.html) you can buy yourself as much time as you need by pinning him whenever the fight starts going downhill.

I trio'd him with BLU, THF, WHM (dual boxed by the THF) the other week and I didnt even bat an eye at how hard he was. Sudden Lunge stuns it... thats really all you need to know if you're doing it on BLU. Maybe I only got NQ's, but none really stood out as being insanely hard.

Ditched the evasion set this time and focused on running like a little girl during it's 2 hours, managed to kill it >.> I guess I worried too much before on not running too far away and losing hate on it, causing a depop; did they increase the distance before VNMs depop? I remember losing an Yilgibaen a while back because our mages on top of a hill got hate, and it ran around to get to them...

Yilb just has an extremely small depop radius, the others don't afaik.

3. How low is your mule? even at level 26 I've gotten exp from leeches in the basement in a half full alliance (1 exp but that's enough for credit).
4. Slap on regen atmas gather a bunch engage a mob in the distance go afk.

Bio3 debate incoming. I originally had Bio3 merited, but changed my mind after discussing it on here. Essentially, time and MP spent casting bio is time and MP not spent nuking. Putting merits into Dia 3 instead of Bio 3 would be more worthwhile. Yes, you're intending for it to just be solo, but dia merits will give you the option of being used for events as well.

Actually for #3 I mean my main would be the one having to 1-30 jobs and my mule is only whm 91 with 0 club 0 dmg, no divine skill, nothing, so I need a way to exp some jobs reasonably.Thanks for the rest though!

If you're doing to be doing nothing but Dynamis, I'd probably go with 5 Reverse, 5 Haste Samba, 5 No Foot Rise, 1 Saber Dance, 1 Fan Dance. Closed Position doesn't matter in Dynamis, and really the extra Fan/Saber Dance won't matter either.

Does Palisade eliminate both CE loss and VE decay? I assume it does since it is much better for hate control than I expected.

I'm considering leveling DNC just for farming Dynamis currency.

I checked out Byrth's DNC.xml file and I think most of that DNC specific gear would be fairly easy for me to toss together quickly (I already have all the accessories). What about weapons though? Would Phurba/Twilight be decent or do I need to do a Kila of some kind?
