The ruby could be useful if the Ebon theory holds some truth. At some point there was someone who had better/higher augments on items in gold chests with higher ebon, and better ebon appears in higher tier ruby chests only.

I always did. Which is weird considering I'd get less gold chest with all that ruby. As far as the enhanced lights I'd check the abyssea lights thread it's all in there. Some give some multiple of 16 up to 132 all the time some give some random amount in there. Some zones give a little more for some random mobs etc

Cruor Farming parties involve 2 different mob families. You alternate with each kill making sure never to kill the same type of mob twice in a row. This way, your Cruor chain climbs VERY fast. Within about a dozen kills or so, you'll be getting ~300+ Cruor a kill (More with Silver lights). A-Misa has the most popular camps which are between Colibri and Bats, and another between Frogs and Crabs. Pretty much anywhere that has 2 mob families right next to each other will work, though people tend to target the less annoying mob types.

Also if you see eph mobs put them into the rotation, always give a nice chunk of cruor.

Yea, are you making sure you're running FFXIConfig to map the controllers? It's in the POL folder somewhere. I still play this on PC with a controller since I started on PS2

Was it recently mentioned that in the upcoming update you wouldn't have to zone to do repeatable quests in abyssea anymore? I'm trying for the refresh subligar in altepa and not having much luck. I remember reading something about this and I'm hoping I wasn't dreaming..

Anyone know a good mob to farm Ruszor Fangs? I've been to Beaucedine Glacier S on 2 separate occasions, for a couple hours a piece on my THF and not gotten one. Do they only drop off the ones in Xarcabard S?

Can I get confirmation for the placeholder for Fungus Beetle? The other wikis list it as the single scarab beetle that spawns around ( I-8 ) to ( I-9 ) beneath a group of three on the widescan list. This Scarab Beetle is listed directly above the Fungus Beetle in the dat file. It has yet to pop while I have been killing the supposed placeholder and I have found that this particular Scarab Beetle shares it's spawn with a Bomb which leaves me skeptical that it is indeed the placeholder. If all else fails I suppose I can lock it down myself though.

The drop rate is abyssmale. I had two drop off the ones in Xarcabard after more than 4 hours of farming as a group. They do drop in Beaucedine too, but the drop rate is just as bad.

The drop rate is awful regardless of where you go. I spent awhile messing around when the mobs first came out and never saw one. I think it's a possible despoil from the Xarcabard (S) ones, but the rate is probably awful as well.

What are they even for?

Ah right, momentary brain lapse. I actually looked those up when I was confused as to why none were ever on the AH . At least the materials will be more accessible.. in a month (or the materials for the new best arrows..hopefully).

There won't be another arrow til 99, arrows follow a strict pattern, every 10 levels.

EDIT: The only saving grace w/ these is that 1 fang goes a long way, can get 6-12 quivers just off 1 NQ arrowhead synth.

Anyone know if Steam Cleaner can pop from any detector in any basement? All the info I read says it can only be popped from PHs at certain locations, yet our ls ldr claims any detector can pop it, even the ones at zippy, brigandish blade, and curtana pop points.
