Are the new high level mobs they added to old zones at a high enough level that a 90 can cap skills on them? Or are they more of an in between point from steelshells and abyssea mobs?
I'm 8 VNM from 85 Armageddon (Gems and Lanterns in mog), and no serious idea how to play cor. Which atmas if I wanna go shoot stuff in a pickup exp pt? Merc. Kris melee > Wildfire shoot is tentative plan.
Usually capped out on the birds outside tavnazia, so anything lvl83+ is definitely fine. I don't believe there is a crab in that level range, but can get some in the level87 range around C-10 in mtZ, through the bird camp.
Mobs in _S zones are usually lvl92-94, so while you can cap on them you'd take significant damage.
chiming in also on the MDMG dark affinity staff for drain/aspir. Worth the effort.
Good to know, was thinking about going out to Dangruf Wadi or Crawlers Nest/Garlaige but didn't know if they'd be high enough without taking too much more damage. Was just gonna sub dnc and bring some -pdt and accuracy gear to work on things I haven't used since 75 cap like staff, club.
There's crabs in Mt Zhayolm that go up to 90 aren't there by the old AoE camp. Or are those just Easy Prey?

Well if the skill is low enough, it should still go up even if they're EP/DC under the revised skillup system right? Or is that just for under 30 where you get skill from EP/DC mobs?
I've got skills on EP in Boyhada for 275+, just really really slow at that point

Melee TP bothers me. Ugh. Ranged TP. It takes like 3 hits for enough TP to Fire Shot > Wildfire.
Rolls: Wizards for MAB if you are trying to put out mass DMG
Generally I'm not so I Tactician's for idle TP and SAM roll for Store TP.
EDIT: I didn't notice you said EXP party. Melee is fine there, I guess -- It's been forever since I've done it.

RR = 30%, dDex Caps at 20% Merits = 5%, Ukko's Fury has 30% Critical Rate.
That right there is 85%. Rancor Collar ~5% (90%) Claymore Grip is 3% (93%) Rvg Mask+2 is 3% (96%) Zahak's Mail/Trophy Legs/N Legs/ are 3/3/4/ Respectively.
(99/100%) Light Earring can get 1% (100%)
100% chance to Crticial Hit on Ukko's Fury EVER TIME? K.

2) No Clue.
3) I don't think it works like that. It's x amount of Critical Rate for every x amount of DEX you have more thanyour target's agi.

The only time a gorget will outperform Rancor Collar is during low-accuracy situations or during Mighty Strikes, however the difference outside of abyssea is much closer than inside.
I'll wait for Nytefire to correct everything I've said though because I usually miss something.
Edit: Numbers between the two, you're talking small% range, not something huge like 10% increase. Most questions in this thread deal with the fractions of a % in terms of what's better for gear though.
