anyone know if you have to beat whm maat for cap by curing, or will surviving work
or if maybe you have to talk to him on each job before you beat him?
EDIT nevermind, apparently my drk fight was glitched or something, didn't give me the title

Merits for DRK?
Lowman KSNM99 Wyrm Strategies?
I've been told mp calculation is based on your mp outside of abyssea minus cruor buffs. If this is true. You'll never be able to get latent to work on wildfire/quick draw under brew. You get 500mp/tick so as soon as the first tick hit you wouldn't be able to use it anymore. Use Artemis' Medal if you want a MAB neck. or Navarch's Choker (if you're out of a good moon phase)
I have a question about about RDM nowadays. Is the Old-school club/shield build still relevant for Paralyze/Slow these days? Or would I be better off Doing Ice/Earth Acc Magian staves? I still use my Mistilteinn/Muse Tariquah setup to this day for Para/Slow which is honestly still a good chunk of MND.
But I've been wondering if be better off just leaving it behind and just doing the corresponding acc staves and letting my other gear do the potentcy for me. Any thoughts/opinions on the matter would really be appreciated. I want to make up my mind for sure before I put all that extra work into more magian staves.... already have 8 of them.
I put an mp merit in, no effect. This was as cor/rng.
However on a hunch, I swapped to /blm. I burned MP on some nukes on mobs in Saur(tab) so that I was under 50%. Using my normal gear, two fireshot on a Goblin Gambler and a Midnight Wings gave me a fire shot damage of 439.
Then I switched to uggy and did a Diving Beetle and a Midnight Wings. Those two shots were both 454.
Both had the same gear, and the same mp, the only difference was uggy on the second two shots. I did this exact same test as cor/rng, with no difference. The cor/rng tests were completed on lightning day, the cor/blm tests on lightsday. No weather effect at any time.
Based on this, it would seem that a native MAB trait (/blm or /rdm only?) has to be in effect for uggy to proc. As such, as the poster above me mentioned, it would indeed be worthless under brew. A situational piece at best.
The testing from wiki that you referred to made no mention of day of the week or weather. Can quifim have ice weather? I don't remember. Also he equipped Hume Boots which have AGI +3 and INT +3 on them. Not sure if that would make a difference to the strength of his ice shot. New to Cor, don't flame that part, still learning!
Is there a factor I haven't considered, or does native MAB seem to be the answer here?
Edit:
Cor90/blu1 First two shots in normal gear 367, uggy pendent 358 x2.
Cause I lost the MAB from Cor AF3 neck.
native MP...? try it /whm
Maybe the pendant is treated like how some HP things were different for triggering sorc ring latent? You mentioned trying a demon ring, but someone else said they got variance using some boots with MP, I think. If you have a Wally turban floating around, try a couple shots with that on and no sub with MATK.
Accessory MP doesn't count for Pendant as far as I remember. Visible gear only (But it's been years, so who knows).
What salvage Usukane pieces are soloable by MNK?
Inside you're probably capped dMND from cruor + gear, I can't think of anything offhand that has a crapton of mnd except maybe T3 Heroes NMs (even that is questionable). I would say not bother with ice just yet unless you really want to, but SE is supposed to be looking into adjusting resist rates on NMs so paralyze might actually start landing on more of them. I would make Earth Macc anyway for Slow/Break/-casting time, the +6 staves lose either potency or accuracy (whichever was the extra on the staff) and earth nukes will be almost never used at 90+ for damage.
If your mentioning Earth Staff and Stone being the weakest element together b/c of macroing issues, I've already planned around that. I can easily take all 6 damage staves to +3, and leave my Acc staves(if I do them) at +2 that still allows me the recast -12% and and at least +5 Acc, if should be more than enough at this point I would hope.
I mean the earth damage staff at +3 just... won't get used for very much if at all other than the -cast time. You could make the Macc one and not carry the damage staff around and I doubt you'd miss it.
For brewing Apademek, would Fools or Fanatics block his enstun?
