Working on a basic Ranger XML, wondering on order of when to equip what kind of gear. Is it:
Precast in rapid shot
Midcast (for the actual shooting) snapshot/r.atk/r.acc gear

or does both the snapshot and rapid shot gear need to be equipped precast?

SO about the dual box thing, to expand I've got some real specific questions now: I got my account but I'm in troubles on how to setup efficiently(emphasis on efficiently since I plan to do some serious shit solo when I can't be with ls due to timezones)

Mainly these are the problems:

1) I can set up 2 screens but then I still have to alt tab...worth it? Should I? This also makes me rage a bit since my screen borders are no longer usable to turn the camera...but whatever.

I run both full screen on the same monitor and alt-tab back and forth when needed. Sometime I run my main full screen and my mules in smaller windows.

2)Easy way to play the 2nd acc? alt tabbing smash macro(with spellcast set) is fine, but it feels slow when I think of nms.I'd love to not be in a situation where I screw up my tabbing and my shadow fall and I fail to get to my whm to cure6....you got the idea, any reasonable way to simplify this? I'd love to avoid more bannable offenses since I really do like my mnk and would love to not have to resort to something outside of the already grey windower/spellcast combo.

Check out my post here. It deals with some basic's of multiboxing. I know some of the commands I list are for the g15 plugin but you could adapt them for use with Dualsend type program.

3) I don't have on my main anything good to PL(best supportive job is around 46,rdm...), should I just duo exp/pl up to 30(and how? page spam? exp chains? I'm not up to date on this!) and then dominion leech my 2nd account? It's going to probably be a whm mule to be a cure6 spammer for my mnk, so as long as it has atma andf cure6 I don't care of the rest.Any help on the leveling process is going to be awesome.

For a good way to get from 1-30 try this.

4)Should I also consider something outside of whm? I know that if I can find a reasonable way to dualbox I might even get into triboxing to have nin+war+whm, but should I consider rdm or bard for my mule?I believe whm is enough but still asking doesn't cost anything.

I've lurked a lot and seen a shitload of things I don't even know what those do.Mostly to be fair what I'm looking for is to have if possible only one screen and be able to cast on my 2nd screen tabbed in bckground the macros.I can then alt tab for positioning and shit but I'd love to not have to tab every damn spell needed.Also I have a xbox360 controller on my pc, does that help? I could use a 2nd screen but that is a bit bothersome, and I would love to not have to buy more things to make this work(no g15 or xbox360 to play please...I don't shit money <,<)

I multibox 3 characters. My main is a decently geared MNK, secondly I have a semi gimp WHM mule. Those two are my base team. My third character has BRD and NIN leveled neither of which have very good gear. If I need red procs I bring him NIN if not I bring him as BRD to help speed up my MNK's kill speed.

I would highly recommend a G15 type keyboard as it will make this a lot easier.

In any case I would recommend for you to get the XI-Util program from windower.net and use the WindowerSandbox and Send plugins for it. The sandbox plugin will stop the chat logs from mixing and crashing the game. The send plugin will allow you to make macro on your main like "//send Neviskio'sWHM /ma "Cure V" Neviskio'sMain" and that will have your mule cast Cure 5 on you.

Also another question, thinking about leveling RNG. Would using Armageddon until Gandiva be okay? Or are there better ranged weapons?

nin, thf, whm. His accuracy is pretty bad at 90, just stop feeding tp after Eternal Damnation until you get the doom off so you don't get Wings of Gehenna follow up stun stopping your Holy Water spam. whm can sacrifice off the zombie or probably just leave it until it wears, shouldnt need much curing blink/evasion tanking.

Friend and I were talking about this yesterday and now he has me second guessing myself. He said that Treasure Hunter is not actually on the enemy until the message pops up saying "Tresure Hunter has been upgraded to level X", but until then no TH is active on the enemy. I said that one hit with TH gear on is all you needed and that the messages were purely for showing upgrades past the what you've already applied.

I am right on this correct? <_>

The Treasure Hunter proc message will only display upon a strike in which the TH level is higher than both the base TH of your character and what has already been proc'd on the mob. This implies that TH is proc'd on every strike.

I believe it was something like -8 or 9 Enmity that can exceed the cap.

Should also note that Eternal Damnation, like many of his moves, is a gaze attack. THF + WHM should be enough really.

It's applied separately (ie multiplicative rather than additive) from normal -enmity.

How good does my DNCs gear have to be to solo fistule? I have 2x AGI kilas but only +2 i have is body, rest are +1.

What do you do about adds? just tank them?
