1GB DDR3 Radeon HD 6450 [DVI, HDMI. VGA adapter]

I got this video card in a new comp and ffxi is lagging bad. It's very choppy. I asked earlier in here and was recommended to try older drivers. I haven't been able to find one that makes it run ok.

Anyone else have any ideas? Or, can you tell me which driver i should be using? Is it the video card itself? Do, I need a different one?

Any help would be appreciated. I'm not really computer savvy, so, I'm kinda lost here.

Take a relatively small group (2-3 people) get amber to ~100, and only get pearl otherwise. You only get 2 hours to try for it but a significant amount of your chests will be gold. Check http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/wiki/Abyssea_Lights for fast ways to get amber depending on zone, and mobs to fight to avoid ruby/azure/amber depending on kill method.

Example: I did brd feet recently, MNK/WAR + RDM/WHM. Apkallu to amber for 112, then pieste to cataclysm down. Took 2 entries to see brd, but got 2drk 3pld 1bst, 1 Guku KI 2 Lizard KI 2 Frog KI in that time as well.

I went on feet farming runs a few times each for a few hours and saw maybe 1 to two boots(usually the same ones that nobody needed) with Amber at ~100-120, sometimes non at all. We usually only killed with melee for Pearl after that and would only Azure if we needed time to farm some more.

I went in there yesterday for my magian trial and killed three mobs and got my MNK feet.

Clearly the secret is equipping magian trial weapons, spread the word!

Does Atma of the Dread increase the TH level up rate as well as add +1 to TH? 4 times in a row now I've gotten TH to 10+, once to 11. Usually I barely scrape to 8.

Granted this was all nms so idk.

I would not be surprised at all if it worked at ~half potency on NMs. Slightly more annoying to test but should still be able to do so by controlling the TP gain of a NM that doesn't have regain, testing below 25% HP so that it'll TP the moment it hits 100 TP (and making sure it follows this pattern beforehand, not everything does).

For farming I actually prefer capping amber and getting enough ruby to get ebon. But then again most zones have other things to offer such as KIs and/or augment items. And with having azure and some ruby kinda need more amber to keep it's chest rate up. But still get dozen's of af3 feet KI's pretty fast (damn shit is so much more random though) and it seems better augmented items due to the ebon. Also boxes with multiple af3 is just fun. I prefer blu for burning since well 1 it can get all lights pretty well by itself and it can actually gather sleep and AOE and cure all by itself. That and I don't have things like war or brochain pld

I would guess no, but nobody can really say with any amount of certainty.

If you had all melee jobs to cap and wanted to really deck out 1 job (barring mythic) which would it be and why?

I think SAM would be a safe option. As far as I can tell, most of the gear needed to play it at a high level can be obtained with a pretty small group, and the job is still among the top DDs outside of Abyssea. As to whether it can keep up or surpass an Ukon WAR, I don't know, but considering it's about half the work to pimp it out, you might even consider doing both.

Problem there, you have azure. Don't get azure. When I did this, I'd kill 7 pieste and get 5 golds. Given that it only takes maybe 10mins to get amber to the 100 range and stones are infinite, this was a lot faster than staying in zone forever.

Havent really done any GoV so was curious, to get exp on my 80 bst and to leech exp on my gf's 53 whm, what would be best area/page? If it makes a huge difference I could go on a lvl 90 job but kinda wanna use the exp on my bst.

The usual recommended page is leeches in sandy sewers, but you really can't access the book on the killing character that way. Zeruhn could be pretty solid, and have the chance at a skillup ring. Mobs are 75-80, so some evens to start, but you'll be able to use charm if you feel like it. It's got a bit of a walk, but not terrible.

Yes, Buff + Gear stacks up to the Flee speed cap. Buff + Buff does not stack, and Gear + Gear does not stack.

Would help if you stated what you plan on using it for.

That said the odds of you getting max HQ stat and a specific common stat also maxed and a specific random stat are astronomically low. Granted those are the cheapest tatters but still. Even the first option has really low odds of getting.

Personally I'd just be happy with maxed HQ stat (since I'm assuming this is for some kind of ws). Getting that and 1 other pertinant common stat pretty high or maybe some of a random stat if you want to keep rolling would still take awhile but worth doing probably if you don't got other things to spend your monies on

its for victory smite. i just got 2 VERY good augments not entieerly sure what to keep the str one looks so good.

The str one is probably the best you will ever get out of that unless you do alot more tries lol. Pretty lucky to get max HQ stat and at least some of a pertinent random stat. Heck the first one is pretty lucky too lol
