Herpderp, I totally missed the / in your /thf. Hide won't drop hate if you're /thf, so unless you aren't on the hate list, I doubt it would work. That being said, I haven't been /thf since forever ago so take that with a grain of salt.

Been away for 6 months~ so noob ffxiah question regarding server merge.

got merged and forced to change name, and I have ffxiah with new char as "main char", but all my item sets are still on old char... Is there a way to transfer them all across onto new char? Or am I going to have to just start again w/ them all?

Someone told me Rudra's storm works well with SA TA otherwise use Dancing Edge or Evisceration if SA TA is down.

someone tested when it came out, it's a multiplier based on current tp. at 300% its 5% ODD, less tp is less damage multiplier, obviously wouldnt work on ws since tp is taken before ws fires (i doubt it'd work with ws even if that wasnt the case.) It's basically shit.

Is that really so bad? There obviously aren't a lot of scenarios where you'd want to build 300% TP (unless you have a mythic). You won't be getting a 5% DMG increase, but all it has to beat is +10 attack for it to be the best second earring for two-handed jobs (assuming you don't need a regain augment for your X-hit build).

What you've heard is true. It's not great unstacked compared to Evisc even outside Abyssea, but stacked it's hard to beat. On Dancer (no DEX/AGI bonus), I still manage 3k+ on Dynamis NMs. It's a bitch when the main hit misses, but that's another problem Thieves don't have.

Opportunity cost. It has to beat your TP earring + whatever you would have augmented it as otherwise. Even then it's 5% ODD only if you're holding 300 TP, which even mythics should not be doing.

Get +4 crit dmg Byakko pants, aias bonnet or mdk hat, lokis kaftan, +crit seiryu kote, thunder soul rings. These would be a good start for Jishnu.

Magian WS Damage bonus doesn't work offhand, Magian TP bonus does.

I cannot get my PS2 controller to work on PC FFXI for some reason and I can't figure out why. It has worked on this computer before I reformatted and reinstalled everything, I can get it to work in POL but when I try the FFXI config it just does not recognize it at all. Ive gotten Xbox controller to work but I'm just used to PS2 after 7 years of it. Any ideas on what I can do to fix it? Maybe some drivers somewhere that will work?

Wow nevermind finally got it. Just had to uninstall my Razer Nostromo because apparently FFXI won't see any other controllers but that.

just downloaded XI from steam for my laptop, how do I get windower to work for it?

Open FFXI once using the polboot in the steam folder (log all the way in), and then shut down and open windower. Don't put windower in a weird folder (like system32 or the Steam folder).

Climactic Flourish forces a critical hit (like SA or TA) and you can get Damage +20% from the AF3+2 hat and reverse into a crit Rudra's for Darkness (with +30% Skillchain damage), so it has a use on Dancer.
