iirc, they changed the Phalanx I equation post-75 so it has the same slope as Phalanx II (+1 point of damage per 25 skill). The calculator probably just hasn't been updated, but generally Phalanx I and II (5/5) are the same potency now I think.

my own question. While the exp here has been pretty nice for lvling my new account, Bostaunieux Oubliette, are there any other areas that are comparable? I'm getting a little sick of leeches <_<.

basically Looking for a nice GoV area with a page around the same (bost caps at a little over 4k per page, 9 mobs per page) leeches are plentiful and spawn on a nice little circuit to run around on. I DO NOT wanna deal with lvl 95-100 mobs and their bullshit. Basically I'd like to find someplace that I can rage around on against EP mobs. Thanks.

What lvl can I start doing GoV pages, say in bostaunieux oubliette, and leeching. Can I take a lvl 1 job and page lock myself? Or do I have to be a minimun lvl 10 or higher or whatever?

Just need to get exp from the mobs on your leech. Level 10 was high enough for basement leeches. It's not like it takes long to get to level 10 anyway.

What is your best DD sub for Voidwatch /WoE and why?

/sam for Voidwatch, /rdm for WoE.

/rdm gives you self cures for those big aoes, mab2 trait, self refresh so you can keep healing yourself without wasting rolls. Gives more points than you'd get with another sub, and less chance of death/double weakness, which makes you pretty much useless for 5 min. Pre update it would have been /sch, but with the auto reraise and boxes for everyone (spamming aoe buffs/cures between waves used to be an easy top 3) it's not as valuable now, so you may as well take the extra dmg from the mab trait so you can clear>afk faster.

/sam for Voidwatch because of the stp, meditate, and sekka. Cor absolutely rapes with qd>wildfire x2 during blitzes, and it allows you to gain trigger tp faster. 3e is a nice bonus if you take too much hate from a blitz, since you can survive a few extra swings til the Pld gets it back.

i think so? i just think you dont get the super crazy out of control damage mitigation, so all you really have is a fancy looking sipar

No it doesn't get the shield block rate at Lv.85, it gets the damage reduction tho from shield blocks that's all I observed when I finished my 85 2 days ago.

Is it worth doing Precast (Fastcast) gear for short casting time spells like Flash?

Also, what determines the time interval before "Midcast" gear is loaded? Can you set different Midcast intervals for different sets of spells?

Don't use precast for fast spells. Usually, less than 1.5s cast time after Fast Cast and stuff is the minimum cast time necessary. Midcast is based on the cast speed. You can delay midcast, but you cannot speed up midcast.

Supposing you're wildfire brewing Glavoid, and it gains magic immunity from blood weapon, what would be the best physical ws to use? Been talking to a friend about this and he thinks it's a terrible idea, but I don't see why it would be so long as you start killing as soon as it's yellow staggered... that is unless all the physical WS are terrible enough for brewing that the aforementioned situation would screw you over.

Inside? Ascetic's Fury always. Outside? Depending on your accuracy, I'd go with Ascetic's while Impetus is up, and usually Howling Fist when Impetus is down.

Without at least Ascetic's, you really shouldn't be on MNK.
