Anyone know how Pavor Gauntlets "augment" absorb spells? Bonus to the stat absorbed? Longer effect?

Can target it on your party at least, not sure about alliance members. Pretty nice for aja/comet since you get the bonus right away, but mp would only last for, /sch, maybe 5 comets. (Parsimony > Parsimony > Normal > Normal > Manawell is ~1000mp, maybe sneak one more out with a full sublimation.)

Edit: Also manawell and spontaneity don't stack, seem to cancel each other, so would only be able to use manawell on final comet.

The BLM's survivability is the next, most important problem, I think

Unless the BLM pops a fanatic's before starting... Could be an interesting tactic to finish off some tougher VW NMs...

Okay so in this pic...

In the top T.Whiteshell's price, part of the first 0 is cut off. This happens when I play FFXI in Windowed mode. The bottom T.Whiteshell is an example of what it looks like when I use true full screen.

This happens with a lot of text, this is just the only example I had readily available. Any suggestions on fixing this?

Is it possible to pop the 4th floor Poroggo Madame(30mins one) and still get the 5th floor one? From ZR that is.

We did this today, MNK MNK THF RDM, killed madames on 2, 3S, 4N, 5, and 6. THF ran for the north portal on 3 as we started the big room, and we ported with 15 seconds to spare, everybody fully unlocked. Pick your targets carefully, kill nothing extra, if your group is skilled and lucky you'll be fine.

another blu question (and thanks for the responses from earlier): back for benthic typhoon? haven't found many backpieces for blu with more than +3 AGI. am i missing something or just use an accuracy back?

I'm on "Don't bother" camp and use Cuchulain's mantle as it's my general purpose mantle for any blu physical magic casting.

Double weakness:
It doesn't crap your melee accuracy and attack right? (OK, I can check attack later)

Aife's Mantle pulls double duty (acc/AGI) quite nicely. Prior to that, not really worth getting a back specifically for BT.

Any suggestions? Am I focusing too much on DEX? If so, what other stats/pieces should I throw in (Acc, Att, CritRate, etc.)

Also a more generalized question: Under what kind of situation would I not want to use WS Gorgets/Belts? And what would I use instead (Anguinus?)

Ethereal -> TP Bonus+Atk moonshade/Aesir ear pendant
Thundersoul -> Jupiter's with atk+ augment

Edit: Can suggest Antares Harness and Warlock's gloves +1 for RDM.

/rdm gives you self cures for those big aoes, mab2 trait, self refresh so you can keep healing yourself without wasting rolls. Gives more points than you'd get with another sub, and less chance of death/double weakness, which makes you pretty much useless for 5 min. Pre update it would have been /sch, but with the auto reraise and boxes for everyone (spamming aoe buffs/cures between waves used to be an easy top 3) it's not as valuable now, so you may as well take the extra dmg from the mab trait so you can clear>afk faster.

/sam for Voidwatch because of the stp, meditate, and sekka. Cor absolutely rapes with qd>wildfire x2 during blitzes, and it allows you to gain trigger tp faster. 3e is a nice bonus if you take too much hate from a blitz, since you can survive a few extra swings til the Pld gets it back.

with cor95/sch47 getting acces to firestorm /sch +obi doesn't beat /rdm ?

For Rdm Sub weapon use same as Blu, Joyeuse was outclassed at 90, even more so at 95.
