with cor95/sch47 getting acces to firestorm /sch +obi doesn't beat /rdm ?

I haven't logged in since before the update, so I didn't even consider that. Off the top of my head though, it would be a 1.10 firestorm/obi bonus to the magic dmg calculation vs 1.24 mab for /rdm.

Assuming an imaginary almost naked Cor with 64 dmg gun 77 dmg bullet, hat, and Vulcan's (just making that up for expediency) the Cor/rdm should beat the Cor/sch by around 45 dmg per qd/235 dmg per WF. Those numbers aren't exact, I floored everything and gave both subs the same agi, but you get the idea. Anyway, /rdm should still win unless there's something I'm not thinking of.

In Abyssea I use AF3+2 hands over Heafoc. (not that I SAM in abyssea much)

Still need to get Ace's Mail, LSmate got it today and doesn't have SAM,DRG or DRK lvled. /facepalm event.

Then to craft Mekira-oto +1 and farm Hachiryu legs again.

I have seen him most in the maze-like area south of #00. I have also seen him wandering in the maze-like area around #07.

Basically, finding him is a bitch, you might want some widescan.

It was in the Neo Dynamis thread. I'm still not convinced because the TH proc system and TH trait work in different ways.

While I understand you in a way, I still really feel that this is the way it works.

Went and did some fairly low sample tests on rams in La Theine though, seeing as I had a million TH-less kills of those from camping the NM for a trial earlier. Also chose this mob 'cause I remember from waaay back in the days, that TH seemed to affect ram drops a lot.

Yes, it's a small sample size. People can disregard it because of that, if they're really that sceptic. To me, this is conclusive enough. There's no reason to waste time targetting every single mob - an AoE spell or WS will apply it just fine.

While I understand you in a way, I still really feel that this is the way it works.

I played around with some rabbits in W.Ron and came to the same conclusion. Doesn't have to do damage, doesn't have to claim, just has to get on the hate list. Saves me a lot of time and concentration in Dynamis now.
