Here in Ct, its gonna hit us @ high tide. They said the tide is higher then normal too cuz of the new moon. From teh projected path, looks like the center is gonna go right over my town

The latest projections show the worst of staying east of us by a good 25-30 miles. I hope so because my sister is flipping shit and I don't want it to get too intense.

Well, 25-30 miles can still be covered by tons of rain. I'm hearing that's the more 'severe' bit with the Hurricane is the rainfall. Places have gotten 5-8 inches already and it's going to keep going all day.

We're not in an area that's high risk for flooding. As long as every tree in our yard doesn't fall on us we should be fine.
