By market value, Apple is the largest company in the world today right? I think they passed Exxon Mobile a few weeks ago.
Stock will drop but I doubt it will drop for very long. They have been prepping the finicky brokers for years now. It's down $20 in after hours trading already but the stock price was undervalued already. This will be a great time to buy considering their next big thing(s) are expected next month according to the rumors.
What the hell does that even mean?
yeah, I don't think Apple's going anywhere http://www.ibtimes.com/articles/1958...il-s-p-500.htm
I call bullshit on the whole quitting cuz he's sick bit. He has insider info and decided to resign and bounce before shit hits the fan. If anyone has any Apple-related stock in their portfolio I suggest you sell that shit asap, I know nigga ain't taking my money with this move that's for sure. At the very least sell now before the inevitable drop and buy back cheap.
lol
inb4 Fuck Apple, if it wasn't for Bill Gates Apple would still be bankrupt, Applefag etc.
I don't think the company will get as worse as people are making it to be. He'll still be working there as a member of the board. The dude isn't really old but past illnesses have taken a toll on his appearance so he looks older.
I wonder if he's still going to pull in his $1/year salary or if he's going to have to take a pay cut now that he's got a reduced role.I hereby resign as CEO of Apple. I would like to serve, if the Board sees fit, as Chairman of the Board, director and Apple employee.
Apple isn't going anywhere. How can a business model of taking old, proven technology, adding rounded edged and a hip two-syllable name then selling it for 10x what its worth possibly fail? They don't take any risks that could possibly backfire. It's an extremely stable business as long as there are idiots with money in the world.
Hate the man or love him, he made an impact on the world for better or worse. I hope he uses this opportunity to spend whatever time he has left with his wife and children.
One has to assume things have taken a turn for the worse with his cancer. First the medical leave back in January, then his authorized biography being released this year instead of next, and now this resignation.
As someone who lost their father to Cancer two years ago, I wouldn't wish this disease on anyone or their family. It's nothing to laugh or joke about, no matter who the person is or how they lived their life in my opinion.
Lastly, as an AAPL stock holder it's a somewhat positive note that the stock is only down a little over 5% in after hours trading. Hopefully this bodes well that at tomorrow's opening things won't spiral into a total bloodbath. At least... I really, really, really hope..

coolApple designs Macs, the best personal computers in the world,
and yes 10/10
Why would Google buy Apple, when they already bought Motorola Mobility?
And nothing of value was lost.
